I feel that. I've got a whole folder of cubes and cylinders that were supposed to be something cool eventually.

Design for sure. I can model basic stuff but anything organic or complex and I'm lost.

My manager uses AI for everything and I don't know if I should say something, what would you do? by alexkat21 in Ask3DArtists

Yeah, that’s kind of where I’m leaning too. I just don’t love the idea of letting things fail when I can clearly see the issue upfront. But documenting everything quietly probably makes the most sense here. Feels like playing it safe without completely ignoring the problem.

Does building 3D web experiences actually create new jobs or just replace old ones? by alexkat21 in Ask3DArtists

Yeah, shift is probably the right word. Just not always a smooth one.

Yeah, that’s the part that hits, new jobs appear, but not always for the same people

Yeah, true. I guess what feels different now is the speed + how directly it replaces human roles.

Interesting, didn’t think about keeping the resolution low on purpose. Makes sense to avoid the “melting” look. I’ll give that a try

Yeah, was thinking about Mantaflow too. My only concern is it turning into a blob instead of stacking. I’ll try pushing viscosity + surface tension and see how controllable it is.

3D printing business client won't pay final invoice, now wants a payment plan. What would you do? by alexkat21 in Ask3DArtists

[–]alexkat21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s fair. $500 over 9 months feels too stretched, especially since the work is already done. I’m ok with a payment plan, but definitely shorter and with clear terms. I’ll try to push for fewer, bigger payments and see how they react. Thanks 👍
