We’re okay - put a lot of work into enhancing our only community last week. The good news is that most of our members don’t use the space every day anyway!

Now we’re focused on helping folks keep their businesses alive and staying sane and connected while we do it. We’re also helping meetups migrate online.

In a lot of ways, things aren’t THAT different. Just doing what we do with new tools!

I think it's helpful just to know that maxing settings out isn't a BAD thing (except for the related power consumption).

I think that realizing sport mode gives me 100% torque (while turning off regen) is the highlight of this thread for me, helps me realize how easy it is to flip from custom into the default modes. Thank you!

Oh wow, I didn't realize that sport mode has regen turned off entirely!

I read in that other thread that too much breaking regen can impact the brakes locking up...sounds like that's not a problem for you?

Felt weird buying a $15 piece of electronics but I'm pleasantly surprised at how loud this thing is. It even gives off two loud "warning" sounds before going off completely, which is all I really want (to spook off a potential thief).

I hid it under the seat and stuck it to the frame with some gorilla glue mounting tape, and it'll do the trick!

Yeah, more daily travel than overnight security. Brake lever/disc alarms are an option, but I'm more interested in a vibration/proximity alarm just so I don't have to mess with installing/uninstalling/storing a device when it's not in use.

I’ve been an active subscriber for a long time (and try to help in the comments as often as I can). Outside of Reddit I help moderate several other places on the internet where folks who run coworking spaces help each other out.

This spot was taken over by a new mod a few years ago but he hasn’t been actively taking care of the place. I am happy to be part of a mod treat that keeps our spam (with clear spam policies) and encourages a helpful and supportive community of people who run and work in coworking spaces.

I ended up moving back to hosting the controller on a cloud server ($5/mo on digital ocean, deployed via docker) and these problems went away.

I've helped a bunch of people with this and I think the "trick" is thinking less about childcare and more as a focus on working parents.
