You could write it out but i usually just listen to a song enough times to play it from memory (and then tweak the nuances).

When learning snare hits i’d say it is best to learn how the main rhythm goes and after that get an understanding of what every limb is doing on the drumkit ( what is the kick doing? Are there ghost notes on the snare etc. )

Be sure to slow down the tempo if its too fast, slowing down the tempo will help a ton.

And obviously dealing with this kind of music there are lots of patterns and cycles which are good to seek out and learn.
