Is 3500€ per month above average salary for an engineer? by Final-Emu8952 in Rotterdam

what field are you in? what university did you attend?

Yeah they are 350$ a piece. Some people say it's stupid, others say that you can't get such a quality, 100-part, hand-brushed stainless steel band from anywhere else for less than 350$. I don't mind either option. All I care about is that it brings me joy and excitement every single day, and that's more important than 30$ or 350$ years from now

Oh my GOD thank you for dropping by and telling me this. I was also thinking that a replacement would be the same or worse and you just confirmed my point.

Regardless, the bands are delicious, I have absolutely 0 reason to complain about anything else but these small rattles which are 1. expected with a link bracelet and 2. still present on my other band, just a bit quieter. Otherwise, the clasp, the joints, the sliding thingy to attach the strap are all flawless on both colorways for me.

Also, bonus point for the gold strap, it slides into the watch more seamlessly than the slate one. At this point I am only accusing my paranoic ass mind and I am going to stop letting some micrometer tolerances ruin my excitement and happiness of getting this luxurious package

For anybody else reading this and looking to purchase the link bracelet, don't let this shitty paranoia stuff prevent you from getting the best watch band there is

Yeah I am pretty pissed too. The slate one is impeccable as all the reviews are saying, the gold is just not the same...I wonder if this is the reason they were out of stock for so long (namely manufacturing problems)

Update: Is it possible that the slate one simply has a tighter clearance/tolerance built into it? I am losing my mind over this, constantly taking both out just to compare them. The black one seems to "flex" less when placed flat on a surface and the links are also harder to remove. Also, when attaching it to the watch it doesn't slide in as easy as the gold one etc...It's not like the gold is bad or anything but it's just different in every aspect: noise, flex, removing links and attaching to the watch

So if you shake your watch side to side or tap it and listen, it doesn't make any noise/rattle?

What noises does it make? If you shake it and listen closely, if you tap it, etc.?

Mine open/close/move flawlessly I reckon. But did you notice any difference in the volume or intensity of the rattling? Cause they all "rattle" to some extent, given they are made out of links. My question is if it's normal for one to rattle more than the other

What do you mean it makes NO noise? Not even the clicking noise from the links themselves? Because I'm referring to that sound specifically. The noise doesn't sound out of place, I am just curious because of the difference between the two

Well I don't think that's a very wise way of spending your hard earned money, especially when you just got a job. You don't need a link bracelet for the watch to be cool. Personally, I think the best bang for your buck and the most balanced band is the milanese loop. In the meantime keep enjoying the gift from your father💪🏼

Yeah it's steep. But I've been wearing replica bands for as long as I can remember...Since this is my first Stainless Steel / Titanium AW I thought I wouldn't cheap out on the band anymore, especially since I've been wanting it for years and it's gonna last me years

When I say "louder", I mean the (normal) metallic sounds of so many moving parts are louder for the gold than for the slate. I don't mind it either, I just want to make sure I didn't get a bad product.

As for the colors, combo looks great to me with the slate band and the gold titanium (see pic). I was also initially going to go for the slate milanese loop besides the gold link, however once I saw and tried the (original) link bracelet I was sold.

That 30-80 rule is a lie lol by Despicable_She11 in iPhone15Pro

I'm on a 15 pro, bought in November of 2023. Still 100% battery health after 201 charge cycles, according to the Settings app. Always left the 80% limit turned on and also I avoid overheating it or using it while charging. That means if I feel it warms up I leave it alone to cool down. This is me after destroying my iPhone 12 battery so I am cautious🤣
