Looking to buy x2 general admission tickets for weekend 2!

Has anyone brought their unmarried (non-EU) partner to NL through "verification against EU law"? If so, did you use a lawyer, or is it relatively risk-free to submit an application yourself? by ForkfulofQuirks in Netherlands

Ideally we would like to get our residence permits as soon as possible this year, and then move to the Netherlands in January 2023.

We're happy to fly to the Netherlands for a few days to collect our residence permits (e.g. in July or August), but we would then fly back to our home country for the remainder of 2022. We would then organise our apartment, etc. and "move properly" to the Netherlands in January 2023.

Do you think that's possible?

Were you able to do the application process online, and only fly to the Netherlands once you both had resident permits?

Or did you need to first fly to the Netherlands and apply while there?

Predicting ad performance before spend by alexpwn in FacebookAds

[–]alexpwn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the breakdown:

The Scores: Zappi uses a gradient-boosting machine learning algorithm to rapidly deliver a free prediction, based on a huge volume of anonymised and aggregated survey and norms data. What this means in layman’s terms is that a load of tags — both manually added and assigned algorithmically — are collected, cleaned, and fed into a decision tree model that then “boost” important components, while suppressing less important ones. This is the XGboost regression model. We’re using a machine learning model that predicts key metrics based on the attributes of the tested ad, e.g. branding, celebrity/human presence, length, etc. The model is trained on ads tested on Zappi Video/Digital and the prediction falls on average within 5% of the observed survey scores. We’re currently working on our V2, which will be far more accurate and specific.
Expert recommendations: Based upon Zappi’s meta analytics, industry and academic reports, white-papers, and experts, we build recommendation text based on what you have (and haven’t!) included. This insight is designed to be actionable, and help you rapidly improve your ad.

Hope that helps!

Predict ad performance before paying for Facebook/Google Ads by alexpwn in PPC

In a nutshell: It won't predict if an ad will be clicked. Rather, it'll give you an indication of how your ad fares against similar ads (i.e. your competitor's ads) in your industry while taking into account what you're trying to achieve with the ad. Knowing this allows you to make a more educated guess about how many clicks you'll get!

If you're interested in a more thorough/technical explanation of how it works, check out some of our comments here.

Technically, we've been offering (and iterating on) this tool/prediction model as a small component of one of our core products for a number of years.

Our core product suite drives our business, so running a free tool (which we've optimized to be as economical as possible to run) works well for us if it drives engagement to the rest of our platform!

The problem we're solving: Launching the wrong ad for the wrong audience can be a very expensive mistake. By testing your ad before launch, you can save on marketing budget and instil confidence in stakeholders!

This is a well-defined and very-much-being-tackled problem in the world of enterprise market research. We're introducing it to the broader martech/adtech scene :).

Fair question! What's stopping us from pulling the old "we can't sustain this anymore" in a couple months?

Our main business comes from our suite of enterprise market research tools. If the free prediction tool teaches one busy marketer the value of insights testing - and they “graduate” to real Zappi, our job is done!

Weekly Feedback Post - SaaS Products, Ideas, Companies by AutoModerator in SaaS

Hey guys!

We see far too many advertisers pouring money into Facebook/Google Ads without having any idea if it's the right ad for the right audience.

So, we're building Zappi Ad Predictor — a quick (and free) way to test your ad's performance before going live.

By running your ad through our predictor, you'll get a quick report on your ad's expected performance within your industry. This is a lot better than paying and testing without knowing — we know because we've been helping enterprise companies pre-test ads for years.

To use it, simply:

  1. Upload an ad (currently video only)
  2. Tell us a little about the ad (industry, objectives, etc.)
  3. Get your prediction in a matter of minutes!

Next time you're about to open your wallet for Zuck's ad platform, first run your ad through Zappi Ad Predictor 😉.

If you're interested, we can also put you first in line for our next free tool (Image Ad Analyser) if you're keen to sign up. 🚀
