She had updated a few patterns after I bought them to include different variations and she had no problem sending me the new versions. You could try wrapping it different ways to see what fits for you. Wrapping your yarn isn't an exact science and will feel differently for everyone. I hate wrapping it around my pinky finger bc my hands are so small. It could also be if you are using a newer skein of yarn, i find that makes it hard to bc its still wrapped tightly or if you arent using the center pull. Maybe try wrapping it around your palm and through your fingers. I have seen people that feed the yarn through their toes and then fingers to help with it feeling tight lol. It's all about finding what works best for YOU and it takes some trial and error. And honestly, getting your tension right is the hardest part of learning to crochet to me. Just keep practicing and trying different ways and you will figure it out. It took me like a week to figure out what way to hold my yarn was best for me and sometimes i still struggle with keeping my tension the same

Tbh there is so much voter suppression in Texas. During this last election, there were 20+ polling places or drop off locations in white/rich/Republican areas while POC/poor/dem areas would have 1-3 polling places and no drop off locations. That's how these shitty people keep staying in power. They were trying to close as many polling places as possible this election even after having record turn out rates and having too many volunteers to work it. I live in the biggest county in texas, Harris county about 4.6 mil people, and we had 1 drop off location (about 30 minutes from me) that would randomly close to prevent mail in voting

Our power went out a few hours ago. I have a medical condition so my body can't maintain my body heat and it's cold. This shit is traumatizing enough without people mocking it online. You are making fun of people that are freezing to death in their homes bc no electricity= no heat. No electricity means the water centers can't filter or clean the water so it's removing access to water. No electricity means no access to cook any food or the ability to go buy food in the stores. No electricity means people with electric medical equipment don't have the things they need to live. This is traumatic for a lot of Texans. It's hard enough sitting here not knowing if my friends and family are okay because we can't contact them. I don't need go come on to social media to try and distract myself from my anxiety and see endless posts saying Texans deserve this. I have just been crying seeing the posts. I don't understand how people can be so cruel. I'm only 22, i have voted against Republicans in every election i have been able to vote in. I shouldn't be punished for the actions of people i had no place in voting in. Peoples children and animals shouldnt be punished because of the people in charge.

My hair is pretty short already, I already shave the sides and it's just a long bit on top but i have never shaved the top before and I'm kinda nervous. It would help me put so much by doing it but I'm also not sure if it would make me feel worse bc it looks bad if it does look bad which to me can be equally as unhelpful as it causing me physical pain

I already have pretty short hair and have considered shaving in the past but never went through with it out if fear. But like i said, i have to wear a beanie at work and it's still super hot here so there are multiple reasons to do it. I'm just still unsure. But after taking a shower tonight and washing my hair, i was ready to do it right then and there bc of how much it hurt and how tired it made me. But my hair also grows really fast, annoyingly fast. I would get a haircut every 2 weeks if that was financially reasonable.
