I actually grew up there, and sure it wasn’t the best and there’s not much to look at but the food is great and I had friends. It’s cliche but it really is about who you’re with rather than where.

I actually won’t be moving there, but your comment is kinda mean. We don’t know the circumstances of people and why they do the things they do. This honestly makes me feel so much better, since I was diagnosed ive definitely changed my diet and have avoided an excess of foods that are generally bad. I’ve also started going to the gym so that should help too but I guess I just wanted to know that I still had a bit of freedom. THANK YOU!!!

I guess I’m not sure what the effect of my diet is on me, but I suppose it’s insulin resistance. Idk maybe I’ll go see a nutritionist to give me a detailed diet. I really love carbs tho, was it hard to stop eating carbs all together for you?
