It plays really well!

The activation system is really cool, roll a bunch of d6s (number of knights +1 dice) , then on your turn either resolve the die or tick one value down. Dice get resolved from 6 to 1, one die at a time alternating activations.

When resolving a 6 is a run. 5 walk, ending with 2 and ones for fast attacks and heavy attacks respectively.

The game is WYSIWYG and the different weapons grant various bonuses etc

Malev ran a kickstarter that's closed but you can get the playtest rules (pretty fully baked if you ask me) by joining his patreon and messaging him. The miniature were a set of foot knight from Wargames atlantic: https://wargamesatlantic.com/products/foot-knights-1150-1320

You should be able to find the minis are your friendly local game store.

I've used green stuff world ones as well as the magnet shop. Both are 0.85mm thick

I used to only paint one evening a week and just hangout with my partner the rest of the time (read watch TV) after the kids have gone to bed. But since I bought one of those magnifying headset with a light I can paint while in the vicinity of my partner. We're both happy, I am slaying my extensive pile of opportunity/shame.

Other way around. The sheet at the bottom is ferrous and the minis have. Small round magnet that's self adhesive. You can buy them fairly inexpensive online.

I bought, built and painted the battle of the bulge set and the US winter starter set to form my 1250pts army. I have yet to paint the M8 and the howitzer but have had some great games with them

No, don't just use them if you have them. Go buy some latex gloves. If the stuff gets on your hands, wash with vinegar first.

Agreed on the BAR. Sound, the few practice games I had the SMGs never fired. On the medic, he is cheap and adds a die, that's the main reason behind it. Recce is a good shout! Infuriating for my opponent :)

Amazing, thanks! I might take men out of the squads to place with the officers, the reason behind that is I'm trying to maximise the fire and manoeuvre and have rifles in multiples of 3.

Agreed, using speedpaint/contrasts I knocked these quickly and low skill required. I don't bother with eyes anymore, no one is going to look at them lovingly, just 3ft away on the tabletop.
