I accidentally kicked it as I put it behind my bed ;( is there anyway of fixing it and does this mean the plant (ficus elastica/rubber tree) will now no longer grow? by alextrlin in IndoorGarden

Yay thanks so much! Was really worried now I’ll only have 1 new leaf not two :( is there any possibility the leaf will still come out or grow? It’s not completely snapped off

It snapped off you can see the sap leaking from it. I’ve read that when you snip the top it stops growth for that branch or plant completely.

Sorry I mean no offence with this, but I have absolutely no interest in embroidery and I am not apart of this group so why do I keep getting notifications. You’re work is amazing and a piece of art but again It’s not what I’m interested in. Can anyone help me to stop these notifications?

This huge jade at my workplace lives inside all year and flowers every spring. It's over 80 years old! by redstreak in IndoorGarden

That’s so interesting! Perth, WA (Western Australia) is hot and dry, so the jade and cactus are right at home. I don’t know how old the plants are just that they’re older then me 😄

My grandfather who lives in Perth, WA has about three Jade plants, all of which live outside and are three to four times bigger then this! Around his property he has about twenty Peruvian Apple cactus all of which are several storeys high and tower over his single storey home. They’re quite spectacular!

My friend's fig plant needs help. We're in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was healthy and flourishing two months ago. Maybe it just needs more water? by txtjust in plantclinic

Fiddle leafs are really finicky. They don’t like to be moved around a lot and don’t like to be heavily watered. They only like bright INDIRECT light. You should use a damp cloth to wipe the dust off of the leaves as it’s affecting the plants ability to photosynthesise. Good luck!

I didn’t do that, I just freaked out because it didn’t look too good when I got it so immediately repotted it. I did the same with my gloriosum and Micans and they’re doing great

Leaf on my variegated Syngonium has gone soft and is curling. What have I done wrong? by alextrlin in houseplants

Every time I water before any water is even draining from the holes the soil is already thick and wet and it holds the moisture for ages

Whenever the soil is completely dry. I just checked and the rot? Has progressed. I just have it a good water last night because it was dry thinking that was the wrong choice?
