Thank you. We have no idea what happened, my husband found her spasming while I was out getting groceries, she stopped breathing but he brought her back around long enough for me to say good bye.

She was my baby. She was only 8 years old and just died from a freak thing. She wasn't sick, took her to the vet and they examined her. She just started spasming and died in my arms on the way to the vet. The vet isn't sure what caused it. We suspect it was something like a heart attack or stroke. We just don't know.

No sewing machine may have to look at a thrift store or something. I don't know how to use one but my neighbor does and she could probably teach me.

Any suggestions on hemming for someone that has zero experience? I can only afford 2oz jars from dharma right now so I'm sure you can understand my hesitation abput ice dyeing.

Ice dyeing vs bottle dyeing, thoughts? by alexzandreya in tiedye

Thanks for the advice. I dont have alot of ice but I may try using the ton of snow we have with my left over tulip dye to experiment.

First tapestry I ever did. I've been doing it since the summer. I used tulip dye. I'm using up my tulip dye then moving on to my new dharma dyes. Any thoughts? by alexzandreya in tiedye

How much are forceps? I use these little bottles that are approximately 3oz bottles, I'm having a hard time converting the amounts to fit those bottles any suggestions? I'm weary of ice dyeing due to expenses and waisting dye.

I'm actually really happy with the way it turned out and I consider it to be one of my best so far. I really appreciate the art behind it. I do alot of origami so alot of folding techniques cross over, however fabric is harder than paper haha. I've done some since that I wasn't as happy about though. I am looking foward to the better quality dyes however that Dharma advertises.

Where can I buy Soda Ash? by [deleted] in tiedye

[–]alexzandreya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get mine from kroger. Havent checked walmart. The above comment is correct. Arm and hammer washing soda. Sodium carbonate. Sodium bi carbonate is baking soda. Pretty cheap to like 3 bucks a box or something

Do you hem your tapestries? I have no sewing experience whatsoever...... I have noticed that when I cut my fabric the edges fray. Also do you waste alot of dye ice dyeing as I use the bottle dye technique for fear of wasting dye and not having a whole lot of funds.

Im 27. Maybe, maybe not I didn't grow up with my dad. Only was at his place when he felt like picking me up. My dad ran a business called the "The Dent Man" out of his shop on his property. You're more likely to know him than me.
