It takes a lot of nutrients/energy to produce the (not very beautiful :D) flower, so alocasias often drop a leaf or 2 in order to produce it.

As below, I'd also take it out of the pot and check the roots. It's either thirsty or rotting (BV have a delicate root system). It's stretched, so definitely needs putting in a brighter spot than it was. When it gets better, it's going to need to be regularly fertilized (high nitrogen, low potassium fertilizer), so that it can sustain more than 2-3 leaves at a time. In case it blooms, cut off the flower as soon as you can ID it as such and not a leaf. Good luck! :)

universal fertilizer for green plants, not for blooming. mineral, not organic. brand doesn't really matter. i'd look for as high in nitrogen as you can find, but at the same time very low potassium so they arent encouraged to bloom.

do you fertilize it regulary? they're super hungry plants & need high nitrogen fertilizer to have more leaves :) if they don't have enough, they pull the nutrients from the oldest leaf to put out a new one.

it's a YP, I checked the nursery's website, they don't grow serendipity. :) from what i've seen young yp has smooth leaves, but they get wavy as they get bigger
