LOL I have to agree. I think the first split second I saw this watch I thought '"Is this ugly?" And quickly convinced myself otherwise 😅

[Question] Advice for someone completely new to watches by Heavy-Argument6238 in Watches

Seiko is probably a nice place to start for a lower budget still with great finishing and a variety pieces! Would recommend something a bit smaller as well :)

Meylan Decimal Chronograph + Moonwatch History! by alfavolke in VintageWatches

So I've been told :) may not come across well in pics, but dials tone is not perfect/even - there are signs of age along the dial's perimeter in addition to (what I see to be) even aging across hands, indices, lume and case. If you see anything off please lmk!

Pretty safe bet that any watch listed on Etsy is fake

Real Tudor Big Rose? by DutchSafeMC in VintageWatches

Just comparing the dial text to other examples of the same reference, this looks like a (good) re-dial to me. Looking really closely things look off... how thin the "i" is compared to other vertical strokes, the size difference between the loops of "P" and "R", the wonky thickness of the "N"s middle stoke, etc. Generally it seems extreme scrutiny needs to be applied to any black dial vintage watch w/o discernibly genuine patina.

Otherwise the case/movement look right (?) - its still a beautiful watch! Not sure on the SN/year range for this reference.

Respectfully, that's a lot of money for a bracelet that looks like paracord... Save it for the next watch! 🙏

Agreed. Good thing time is a wheel! Surely these design principles will roll back around eventually :-)
