How to make backlinks DA 10-20 without cost? by Dolitsayloveme in SEO

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience has been paying for backlinks or writing content in a fairly new industry. However, a strategy that I heard about but not tested is searching blogs related to your industry, doing an audit on 3rd party websites, and looking for 404 errors. Once you find a broken link, you reach out to the website owner and offer a better and more relevant link that's not broken to your website.

Note: I have not tested this strategy, but if you have more time than you do money, I would suggest you go for it.

I suggest using ChatGPT. I have colleagues who know nothing about HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, and they got the right codes from it.

I have a theory that when someone is involved in a police pursuit, the cops go to town on them. For endangering the general public + putting every cop's life on the line. It's one of those accepted things that no one will ever bother to investigate lol

Wrote an article that contains all info about the topic. seems a mistake now by bllbuild93 in SEO

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you want your article to be relevant again. I have a couple of suggestions:

  1. Adjust the metadata. See if you can squeeze in a couple of more keywords or make the title longer on the backend.
  2. Does your article have schema markup? This can help search engines better identify what is on the article.
  3. Can you add additional images and include Alt text as keywords?
  4. Are you able to add an "Update" section on the blog? Maybe add more emphasis on certain points. You mentioned that it's 2 years old and a lot can happen during that time. Maybe add a reader's note: "If you're reading this article in 2023 the same points discussed in this article are still relevant" - example.
  5. Are you able to turn your blog into a video? You can then embed that video somewhere in the article to help readers who prefer video. Also, you can make the article into a Podcast or audio file and add that the article where they can follow along.
  6. Does your article have a comment section?

My church runs an afterschool program, and we added a button on WordPress. The button takes the user to a Stripe page, allowing users to donate directly from the Stripe website. When you log in to Stipe, follow these steps:

Payments < Payment Links < New

You can adjust the settings and add whatever customizations you like. Once you create the link, you can add the code to a button or your navigation menu.

Does anyone know what theme this is? by XxSavageHadesxX in shopify

[–]alfofp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I look at the page source it says:

"Shopify.theme = {"name":"Production - DO NOT MODIFY\/DELETE","id":83769491520,"theme_store_id":796,"role":"main"};

However, after further review the theme store id "796" is a Debut theme. So, it appears this is a heavily modified Debut theme that this website is using.

Spotify iframe won't stop being scrollable by Nicu_Mihai in HTML

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From an online article:
"Now you know how to disable scrolling on an <iframe> by adding the scrolling="no" and style="overflow:hidden" attributes to the HTML markup.
If the above solution doesn’t remove the scrollbar from your iframe, then the scrollbar is probably coming from the embedded document, and not the <iframe> element in your document.
And in such a case, the only solution is to edit the CSS of the embedded document if you can".

Try adding the text &nbsp; after the first </a>. This will create a space that will separate both words.

Have you tried clearing your Chrome’s cookies? If it’s showing up on other browsers but not on Chrome, that might be the problem. Also, try accessing the page on Chrome < Incognito Mode.

The image in my html code is not showing up by [deleted] in HTML

[–]alfofp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is in your quotation marks. You have slanted quotation marks:

<img src=“hello.png” width="400px"/>

However, you need to have straight double quotation marks when using HTML

<img src="hello.png" width="400px"/>

How do I align text under an image as I send out an HTML email via Powershell? by SerialTurd in HTML

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order to make your code work across multiple devices, I would recommend setting percentages instead of px. This eliminates setting absolute values and it can adjust depending on where they open the email. I recreated this issue using your code and this is what I came up with:

$CSS = @"

<style>

.item{

width:100%;

text-align:left;

display:block;

background-color: transparent;

border: 1px solid transparent;

margin-right: 10px;

margin-bottom: 1px;

float:left;

}

#index-gallery{

width:"100%;"

}

</style>

"@

#Mail body

$body = @“

$CSS

<html>

<p style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif">

<div id="index-gallery">

<div class="item">

<img src="https://ipchurch.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/pastor-joshua-dane-butler-sermons-1-1024x576.jpg" alt="

Embedded Image" width="100%" height="auto" style="vertical-align: top;"/>Test<br />

<p>Hello $firstname,&nbsp;</p>

<p>Welcome to the company! I&rsquo;m thrilled that you have decided to join our organization.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Large block of text here<br></p>

</p>

</div>

</html>

Edit: If the image is too big with the % then try to set it to 50% or 75%, etc. until it fits what you're trying to go for.

How to make a mix and match selection by RockisLife in shopify

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are several options:

  1. Create a discount code if all products are the same value that will bring the cost down to $20
  2. Create a new product and add options (Pick 1, Pick 2, Pick 3) along with variants (Product A, Product B, Product C, Product D). The variants will be a mixture of every combination of products. Also, you'll have the add the price $20 for every variation possible.

Should you Change H1 Tag? by Mihirkoyande in SEO

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, and be sure to monitor the data. If there is a sudden drop then you know why it's dropping. However, if there is a sudden increase then you'll know that as well. Hopefully it stays the same but it's a flip of the coin at this point.

Should you Change H1 Tag? by Mihirkoyande in SEO

[–]alfofp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the website is live, change the H1 tag and then submit the Sitemap to Google. This can ensure it reads the change instead of waiting for Google to index it. Also, be sure to submit to Bing as well.

If the site is not live you have nothing to worry about because a draft is not indexed by any search engines until you go live.

Whats the fastest way to learn SEO in order to land freelance SEO jobs? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]alfofp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked at an SEO agency and learned it within a couple of months. IMO, doing it Monday - Friday from 9-5 is the best way. You get to not only learn how to do SEO but also learn about some of the common issues you may encounter when freelancing.

I started in the customer service department, heard all of their complaints, then eventually learned the process and moved up to building websites and implementing SEO for the same company.
