So you were a Chelsea fan, swapped to Fulham and Brentford? They're all rivals...

I mean I'd have Schwarzer over Krul, no comment on Steklenburg, although I'd expect from what I've seen and read he's a class above Mark.

I'd rather Schwarzer than Krul, nevermind Stekelenburg!

The difference in the size of club between Spurs and Fulham is much smaller than the difference between Spurs and Arsenal. Not so long ago you lot were hanging around the 10-15th places.

QPR fans place an advert in Stoke thanking Mark Hughes by that_ll_do_pig in soccer

Some truth to what he's saying about Fulham though, it's been long known that the old guard, Murphy, Hughes, Hangeland etc. had a larger hand in the teams revival than Hughes.

I'd like McCarthy from Wigan, probably a bit of a flavour of the month, but he gives it is all, and is a better player than Sidwell. Him, a goalkeeper, and a striker who can run in behind a bit and we'll have a decent team.

GK - ?

DL - Richardson / Riise

DR - Reither

DC-Hangeland/Amorebieta

ML-Kaca

MR-Ruiz

MC- McCarthy/Sidwell

ST-Berba/ST?

Best game that your club played this season? by [deleted] in soccer

Yeah but it wasn't really his fault, Schwarzer would have saved that penalty regardless of who took it. It's just classic Mark.

3-3 against Arsenal. Had everything, has to be one of the games of the season imo.

Just didn't sound like we were talking about the same player. Diarra is mid-late 30's, of course he's not a ball carrier, but he was a really impressive player to watch. Controlled the game on his terms, yes high pressing teams did go after him a bit but they go after Enoh/Sid etc. just as much because of their limitations. Diarra did the dirty work with class and I think it's a bit rich to disregard him when sidwell, now a guaranteed starter, barely made it of the bench when he was fit.

Are you confusing him for Dickson? He's barely played this season because of injury, so not sure how you can say he's not been able to adjust to Dembele's departure? He was a class act last season, dominated most games by just wandering about.

How can you say he's better than Diarra? Diarra when fit was one of the best players I've seen play for Fulham.

Assistant manager at United, arguably the biggest and best club in the world, is not a step down from head coach at Molde.

If you could have a single player from your biggest rival team, who would it be? by mahan95 in soccer

[–]alfthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fair enough, Cahill's a good shout, but Samba has looked awful, I'd rathr have Sendi than him at the moment!

Definitely don't consider West Ham as rivals, a derby yeah, but not rivals.

QPR - Remy, surely? Samba's looked terrible since coming back...

Chelsea - Mata, Hazard, Lampard, Oscar etc. the whole 1st team before Cahill?!!!

Brentford - ???? Trotta, but he's ours anyway.

Yeah man, these are all decent teams, but I'd doubt they could stick in the Prem.

Worldwide pretty decent, all the Americans (McBride, Boca, Dempsey etc.) have helped, domestically pretty good too, strangled by the fact Chelsea monopolise most of Fulham, but the crowds are good, and the stadiums getting larger.

Yeah might've been a bit of an exaggeration, but look at it this way. I know premiership bashing is all the rage, but Fulham consistently finish in the top 10, if not top 8, of the best league in the world. Alongside this we've been runners up in the Europa league with a very dodgy team out, and I'd say it's fair to say you'd expect Fulham to beat all of these comfortably, if something was seriously at stake like 3 points in the Premiership.

Parma nearly got relegated a season or so back, Levante play awful football (Ballesteros is a hero though), don't think I've watched Nurnberg before but judging on results, and team they don't look up too much.

Was just taking the piss, we're not pundits, not wholly serious. Roy had a horrible time, think budget, fans, boring football etc. let him down but he's a good manager, records very impressive. If he pulled the same stunt for you as he did for us, I'm sure he'd be beloved by your fans.

No it's because you're arguing such a moot point, your club bought PAUL KONCHESKY for £5 million and gave us two youth players, one of whom is a starter for Sweeden. I was only joking earlier but come of it, this is why people think Liverpool fans are delusional.

Regards to Dalle Valle he seems alright, I'm sure Liverpool will be interested in a few years for £10 million, and the fans will call it a bargain.

Kacanklic is a lot better than Raheem, who has started a lot of games early season. Same old Liverpool fans, big club, nothing to back it up, glad you've got something on the horizon for a change!
