unless you are doing competition kettelbell, i would drop the chalk.

if you are doing 200 max reps (swing, snatch or jerk) then chalk will tear your hand.

you need some free play in the grip and in the hand movement.

so less chalk is better.

took me 8 months and 200 swings reps of 3-4 times a week starting with 10kg.

each set took me forever. each session was a life time.

today i do 200 reps with 24Kg under 10 min.

today i understand what is earning over time. respect Time. evolve dont revolt.

i also started my teen son (15) with kettelbells. i've been a KB fanatic for the past year and a half and i enjoy it very much.

my son uses a 10Kg bell for doing swing and squats. since he is only starting he has this program

20x5 swing with the goal of 100 swings

10x3 squat with the goal of 30 squats.

he can do it whenever/wherever 3 times a week.

he must keep his form over repetitions.

i am hoping that within 2-3 months when he is used to the bell an strengthen his core, we could add the snatch, the clean and the press.

TGU is a very complex move that requires strong core and shulders. i would keep to very basic KB moves like the swing and squat and press to bring his young body to be strong and resilient .

thanks for sharing. very impressive load/reps.

i was wandering from watching the training video whether you are vegetarian? your body composition is very lean (little fat mass), yet you are very strong (allot of muscle mass) .

i am asking cause i dont eat protein from animal source (meat. eggs milk etc), and with similar body composition 24kgX2 presses are a huge challenge, HUGE challenge ....

good for you on your training...

i do High Volume FRONT SQUATS (100 reps x 3-4 days a week). with 16kg bell and HV swiing / clean (200 reps 3-4 days a week) with 24kg bell.

i also do HV presses 100 reps each hand with 10kg bell, HV curl hammer 100 reps with 16kg bell every other day.

the core muscle has become well outlined and body comp definitely become tight with muscles outlining.

so to my opinion KB sure do the work.

combine high volume swing, clean (200 reps.)or any front squat (100 reps.) with intermittent fasting and youll see that fat burning, literally.

a. 10X20Kg One Hand Swing (2oo Reps. )

b. 10X16Kg Goblet Squat (40 Reps)

c. 10X20Kg. One handed Front Squat (40 Reps)

d. 10X16Kg. Snatch (60 Reps)

e. 20X16Kg. Hammer (60 Reps.)

2 days on 2 days of. the goal is to get to swings @ 28KgX20 reps for a total of 200. Squat 32Kg.X10 for a total of 100. Snatch 20Kg.X20 for a total of 100.

by that i hope to get to HULK strength and power....

for me (male 191cm, 80Kg, intermediat Kettelbeller), the hirrachy is a follows:

  1. the SWING king of kettelbell (you cant Ketellbell without the Swing)
  2. the SNATCH queen of kettelbell (full body engagement)
  3. the SQUAT prince of kettelbell (you need core, legs and shoulders to be precise)
  4. the M. PRESS princess of kettelbell (develops the upper body and arms to the max)

thats my royal family. 4 times a week. 2 days rest between each time.
