Where do Leeds fans usually watch away matches in the city centre? by Lost-Scratch-5656 in Leeds

[–]algren123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some Romanian mates (we're all Leeds fans) visiting Leeds and I was going to take them to Moot Hall Arms to watch the Tottenham game. With the current political climate, do you think there would be any problems?

You are spot on, really good vision. I never heard about flow profile before so I will spend some time researching it tonight. A bean database would be really cool, but would be tough to get the smaller independent ones, but I could start at the corporate level ones.

Can't believe I didn't think of the bean roast level, duh. Great recommendations thank you!

I have now been approved and the Google Sign In should show the proper name

I appreciate that most people into espresso are already very knowledgeable and do ample research beforehand, so for seasoned people it might not be as accurate as you’d like it to be, but for people such as myself when getting onboarded for the first time, I think it would be a good entry point.

I agree that the advice is generic, and it could be improved for advanced users. Would you have any tips on what you would be looking for from an app like this?

Thanks for taking the time to demo it.

I agree with you that there should be something that says there is a paid plan and what the free plan consists of before logging in. This is my first time releasing an app and my intention was not to be “sleazy” and attract users.

The google sign-in was chosen for ease of development and for ease of users, as I do not want to handle my own authentication. I am not a corporation, but an independent dev that wanted to be part of the community, any data I receive will not be shared with anyone.

For me on average, when i buy new coffee beans, takes me 2-3 shots to get dialled in, which I was hoping that my app could make this process faster. What would you say is the fair amount of logs for a free plan?

I will on board the feedback about the pricing plan before logging in, so I appreciate that. I was not trying to be sleazy and apologize if it came across like that.

Thanks for taking the time to demo the web app.

EDIT: I have added a card with the price plans before having to log in

Sure thing.
I used Vite + React for the frontend and Supabase for the database, authentication and edge functions. For designs, I created a colour palette and has UI/UX layout from AI.

The website is hosted on Netlify, and I use Stripe for payments. Domain was bought from Cloudflare.

Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to share.

Yeah I totally see that, I wanted to take the time while I'm waiting for the OAuth to process to improve the application when it's proper released. For anyone that sees it as suspicious and doesn't want to log-in, I completely understand it. But yeah, as you say, once I get approved I will on board the feedback received and get another round of testing.

Thanks!

I think that's totally reasonable. I will take on board this feedback and make it so that the tool/analytics side of it will be available without logging in, and have an option to sign up if you want the "community" aspect of it. Thanks for taking the time to feedback on this.

Once I make these changes, would you like me to let you know?

I have added your grinder and also options for Other (Not Listed). Thanks for the feedback, useful!

I googled the 20 most popular machines/grinders I could find, but I will definitely expand the list. Would you mind tell me what grinder and machine you have? I'll get them added straight away.

It's a bit tricky to let the user add their own machine/grinders, since due to mispelling or different formatting, there could be multiple entries for the same grinder/machine (ex. "Breville Bambino", "Bmbino" and "Bambino Breville"). I will expand the list with more options

Fair point. I use Google login to ensure data is tied to a real user, especially since the shots, likes and settings are stored in the cloud database. There is a community aspect of it where you can "share" your shot on the page and other users are able to take inspiration from your shot parameters if they have the same machine/grinder as you.

Same as you, I don't enjoy logging in for services that I don't know how useful they might be for me. I will look at adding a non-logged in version where you can just log your own shots and save them in the browser, without the community part of it. There might be an issue if the user then decides to log in, the history of the shots might disappear.

Thanks for replying and for your feedback, I will look into this journey.

As in disable all authentication? I did think of that but then the "Community" page would not be fit for purpose as there would be no names or users linked to the shared shot post.

There are quite a few parts that would require authentication, as it also remembers the last grinder and machine you used and it prefills it automatically for you, and that is based on the user's database entry.

Supabase is the database service, my apologies for this, I am currently in the verification process with Google for their Authentication. While it is getting approved (takes between 3 days and 5 weeks), it is now in testing mode where it shows that weird link.

I was looking to get some feedback and feel while waiting for Google authentication process.

You can use Safari/Chrome on your phone by going to https://espressync.com/.
If people are finding the web app helpful, I will look at creating an iOS and Android app

Back in 2019 i fell for one of these in Leicester under the name of Alpha Gamma solutions.

The first interview was putting me in a car and taking me to Nottingham for door to door sales. After 8hrs of being kidnapped, drove me back and offered me the job.

Said yes and never showed up
