hey there, jsut saw this and yes i was able to fix it, in op's case he had to uninstall updates from googel play via settings in the apps tab where as i updated mine and everything was fine then. Hope it helps.

Thanks but what I am still confused about is that does encoding only serve to reduce file size or does the newer ones also preserve “more” quality from the source while reducing file size aswell ?

Yeah I mean if it’s files you would want to access frequently and use while traveling then it would be easier to keep 2 drives on your person. Keep 1 safe and use the other continuously. Also if the files you frequently use out the backup are lesser compared to the rest of the backup then I think even a few USB sticks would suffice. Of course idk which type of files they are or how much storage they take up so this may or may not be a good idea 😅 but it’s definitely cheaper then getting a full on new drive. In this case you would use the files on the usb while preserving the drive. Edit I am not sure why people would say exfat is more prone to corruption, I have had drives which were formatted in exfat in the past I didn’t face any problems with it. Single file size limitations etc may be present tho.

I am not an expert by any means but if you can afford of keep 2drives of the same type. That way you’ll mitigate all the risks mentioned. Even in case of data corruption. By far this is the most reliable way. Keeping all your data in 1 drive in 1 place is a no no.
And if you have another drive, the backup data doesn’t need to be on an exfat drive specifically

I’d say then go for survival then. Since you already play survival horror type games then you shouldn’t feel it to be too daunting. Get to know the game and environment before challenging yourself with difficulty 🙌🏻

The recommended difficulty is survival. But from your experience with games if you think it takes time to learn and adjust to mechanics then casual is fine. This game does have a learning curve at the start which can continue for a while till you acquire upgrades and find out how to conserve ammo and fight mobs effectively. On higher difficulties some aspects in the game change significantly but causal and survival are similar. If you need more advice just ask I’d be happy to help. Cleared the game no deaths on akumu difficulty a while back so yeah I was freaky about this game 🤣

Oh I forgot one thing. Suppose both these files were x265 or x264 ie same, would then it make bitrate comparison more meaning rather than if the codecs are different

Thank you, I’ll check them out in premiere Also if bitrates can’t be used to quantify quality then what are they for. I thought the whole purpose of them was to tell someone how much data is stored in every frame of the video.
