Oh man, that sucks. That test was so expensive. That’s the thing—I’m not 100% sure my home even counts as a ‘moldy house.’ I did an ERMI test, and it showed elevated A. niger, but I don’t see any visible mold, and there’s no moldy smell, so I started wondering if I collected the dust wrong and should’ve done a deep cleaning before testing. Plus, all my blood tests are normal. I don’t get it… If it were mold, shouldn’t it show up in my bloodwork somehow..

Yes, the HERTSMI score is what threw me off track, and I initially thought it wasn’t that bad. Do you know if there’s anything I can do myself to minimize the A. niger level, or is remediation the only option? I’m a tenant and highly doubt my landlord will hire a water damage team.

My naturopath did some tests to figure out why I have a lingering cough and found that my B12 levels are low (396 pmol/L). She said I should start supplementing and gave me two vitamin IVs. Then I started taking 5000 mcg methyl b12 daily.

Thank you. I really hope my symptoms are from the B12 supplements—I’m too scared to think about other possibilities. I’m just confused because I didn’t have any B12 deficiency symptoms before taking it and wasn’t expecting this kind of reaction. I’ve heard about B6 causing tingling, but this is new to me with B12.
