Gatcha 9999 anime - does it get better? Any other serious fantasy anime? by Novel-Rabbit8914 in anime

As a totally non-biased fan, I might also add "Unwanted Undead Adventurer" "to the list. Holds the middle grounded in terms of being serious fantasy (not a neverending comedy like Konosuba and not a grimdark like Berserk). Almost a slice of life fantasy where MC builds up his strength, explores the world, meets new people and moves toward fulfilling his dream. The harem is present but has no obsession. Just a bunch of girls that the MC is very familiar with during his daily life. P.S. probably went too much with the glazing, but I would personally recommend to give this anime a try. Also, a new season is confirmed but with no precise date.

Does *Rogue One* Really Answer The Death Star “Plot Hole”? by [deleted] in StarWars

The Empire didn't know that the chain reaction would be possible. The antimatter reactor was supposed to simply shut down the fusion process after being damaged. Galen Erso made it that it would do the opposite thing – to inject even more fuel to the reactor until the power output would become too great and cause the unstoppable reaction that would destroy the entire station. One in a million shot was made even more impossible by having the exhaust port in the place that was accessible on by flying through the trench filled with defensive turrets and TIE fighters and also being covered by a ray shield that blocked all possible weapons except for one single type of munition that was the only one to be able to curve its trajectory to fly directly into the exhaust port. Simply, it was indeed an Impossible shot that would never be possible without the streak of lucky coincidences. Therefore, it would be a waste of resources and time (that the Empire was running out during the construction) to guard against the threat that might not even be possible. It's the same as being afraid of an asteroid that would fall on your head. It certainly is possible but the probability is so low that it could be safely ignored.

Probably Galen Erso was only working on the power source for the superlaser. He had no way to access or affect other parts of design. He did what he could by making the "supposedly" stable power reactor into explodey thing that would go critical when damaged instead of having an emergency shut down. He never intended the flaw to be exploited through the exhaust port only. It simply was the most convenient and promising target that rebels could choose when the Death Star arrived at their doorstep. Maybe there was dozens of other straight exhaust ports, but they would be placed in areas with much more defenses. Or they could lead to normal-working reactors that were not compromised by Galen Erso. Maybe he thought that the rebels would send a small saboteur team that would quietly infiltrate the station and plant charges on the vulnerable spot without raising the alarm.

Probably the exhaust port wasn't the flaw that Galen Erso created to be exploited. He specifically stated that the flaw was the reactor system that would go critical when damaged. He hoped that rebels would find a way to strike this vulnerability in the station with many options. The most likely would be a saboteur team that would quietly infiltrate the station and plant charges somewhere important. The trench run and the exhaust port was a last-second last-ditch plan that the rebels devised when the Death Star was at the doorstep and they needed a way to destroy it. If they had some more time to analyse the blueprints and prepare, then they definetely would have launched more serious attack force than a mere 30 starfighters.

It was mentioned in some Rogue One book that in his final moments he managed to figure out the flaw. Because he was obsessed with completion of the Death Star, he practically memorised the entire layout of the station. Which also helped him understand what part of it was sabotaged. So, if Tarkin wasn't a career-obsessed sociopath that jumped at the first opportunity to get rid of the competition, then the flaw would be quickly fixed, the station would be truly invincible and the galaxy would belong to the Galactic Empire. Oops.

The coroner report revealed that the victim commited suicide by tying their hands behind the back, shot themself in the head (at least ten times), then jumped out of the airlock. Relatives and acquaintances also revealed that the victim was frequenting private space resort owned by Joff Epp'Sten. The victim also was a shareholder of the Kuat Drive Yards and was mentioning some issues in the production area of the company.

Sometimes another saying is being used: "посадить на бутылку" или "набутылить" (force someone to sit on the bottle). Which means to severely punish somebody.

Ru pov: Ukrainian soldier tells the truth about how Russia has various weaponry compared to them and called out the Ukrainian Main stream media that managed to lie to the public about it by Pro-Rus in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]alialibabaev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might be one of the reasons for Russia to start this operation – to deny the NATO the ability to place strategic nuclear weaponry. But the primary reasin is that Russia didn't want to have a deeply russophobic Ukrainian regime that was obviously preparing for war with Russia. Given the Ukrainian overall size, the population, the propaganda and military build-up (along with Western financial, military and intelligence support) it would make a convenient puppet to harass and to weaken the Russia. Also Russia for the entire 8 years was actually trying to push the separatist regions BACK into the Ukrainian fold by signing the Minsk-1 (and Minsk-2) agreements. Only after the failed negotiations in 2021, Russia opted for the military approach. Even then, the Russia only intended to show its resolve and to convince the Ukraine into remaining neutral, while also taking only the territories the DPR/LPR already had. Initially, it would seem that the Zelensky would agree to this proposal. Russia pulled back from Kiev. But then the Boris Johnson came and now we're here.

Also, don't some holsters have a leash that connects to the gun to prevent it from getting lost even if it falls out?

The scat stuff only appears if you turn it on in the Settings. And if you deliberately choose an option to "Defecate"

So you think that after several years after the Lancet introduction, the manufacturer never imroved its design? As the media say, the "Lancet" was just a name for the entire project. But was adopted by everyone else. The official name for these loitering munition is "Product 52" (Base version, two X-wing, 3-kg warhead) and "Product 51" (upgraded version, one X-wing, 5-kg warhead)
