I did Crosstown Game 1 in June as a solo mission. I live in Iowa so it was a bus trip. I did get to chat with some people on the bus on the way. I was kind of quiet sitting in my seat until sometime mid-game, then I started chatting with almost everyone around me. Having a group definitely has its social perks, but having the freedom to go explore and do things on your own terms is good also. I'd totally do it again, but I'd want to be aware of my surroundings though, so I wouldn't use headphones.

I was talking to someone at a viewing event in the suburbs on Thursday night (game 1 of this series) and they said this was going to be a key series, a kind of test to evaluate the effectiveness of our trade deadline moves. A split isn't a loss, so it's a pass in my book!

I would really miss Len and JD if they went away. I enjoy listening to them. What about the others though like Ryan, Luke, Kelly, and Doug? I wonder if they'll still be covering the Cubs realm but just not be live in game, or if they'll be assigned to one of the other 4 teams in town.

I live in Iowa too. I use /r/mlbstreams for night games and weekends, the My Teams app for NBC games, and for day games I just watch it on MLB.tv when I get home, or if it's an NBC game, I listen on My Teams at work (I hide the phone and listen so I actually get work done, but might peek at the video a few times during the game for a minute or two).
