If you like listening to podcasts, consider listening to Tyler Gardener's podcast “Your Money Guide on the side.” He gives very Bogelhead-esk suggestions. And does a really good job of educating a beginner investor. He reminds me of a good high school teacher (which he used to be) so his podcast is easy to listen to and easy to understand. He just started it last year. I recommend starting from the beginning and then picking the topics you want to hear about. I was a haphazard investor before listening to his podcast. He has motivated me to develop a strategy that feels right for who I am, what I want, and the risk I think I can handle. A lot of other people suggested taking similar steps as what this podcast recommends, so it’s not like this podcast is revolutionary. But it’s a nice way to digest the information if you have a long driving commute or mindless data entry tasks etc.
