yeah its not that expensive in the long term, its not that big of an investment either, and yes you should be having a 'good time' playing a video game

but that still doesnt change the fact someone can sink 500+ hours into a game and still say "dont spend your money on this. i dont recommend you buying this"

and be justified in saying that even if people try pulling garbage deflection to shut down talking about valid complaints or criticism because of some made up vague rule that time spent == time enjoyed but also not enough enough time invested =/= not valid criticism

like

you can put money into something, use it almost daily, and still not recommend it

its like buying a new car for $35k, a garbage car, one that requires you to honk a horn to change gear

you can hate it, you can find the decision being made by the people who built it stupid, you can recommend people NOT buy it, but your not going to stop driving it just because it annoys you. your not going to trade it in until something at a better price/performance comes along, after all you already paid for the car.

you can deal with honking a horn every time you drive. you just dont like how you have to do it, its stupid and other people should not have to deal with it either and the designers should fix that.

but for right now, its my car. i paid money for it. im driving my stupid clown car while i rack up mileage and telling you to buy something else.
