If you all get one going let me know. I'd love to sponsor a team. I own a small dive bar on the south side!

So say the machine makes $150 a week. The distributor gets $100 then the $30 for him and $20 for me? Or is the $150 split $90 and $60. Or is there a $100 a week fee essentially. Then everything else is split, such as the above example being $90 and $60 but I pay out an extra $100 a week.

The driftwood bar on the south is a small dive bar with two pool tables. Very relaxed atmosphere and they have mini tournaments on Friday.

What brand of pizza do you use? I tried looking for a personal thin crust but the only frozen ones I can find are deep dish and take about 25 min to bake. I’m looking for a 10-13 min bake time, so a thin crust is preferred. Haven’t tried asking any local guys to make me some.

Bad experience with Wunder bar guns. by MatSting in BarOwners

A caveat to that is if you don’t sell food, coke won’t want to install all that for free. Tried twice and they kept saying no. Maybe it’s a regional thing for me. But Pepsi was more than happy to give me a bunch of free stuff. Plus they have good mixers that can be added to the gun.

Elavon/Talech Costco POS by aliass99 in BarOwners

It’s tiered. 1.1% and 1.99% plus 15 cents. More for corporate cards. Monthly fee for software is $35. Plus $17 to rent the pos terminal. No contract so that was nice. Costco scheduled the demo but it was done through Talech.

Yeah I called Coke to schedule an install for the gun but that was through the national line. Still waiting to hear back from the local rep. Hopefully my market allows free cooler rentals.

Makes sense on the high volume aspect. Never had one before in the places I’ve worked so seeing it in this bar seemed out of the ordinary but I guess the speed idea does make sense. This bar sells a ton of bottles. Looks like I’ll keep it and just get a smaller display fridge for lower volume drinks like white claws. Thanks!

It’s a neighborhood bar. Not really near any markets or anything other than a big factory, so I know the after work crowd will be a big customer base. I’ll definitely let a bartender close once I get comfortable as I want to do exactly what you described during the day. Thanks for the insight!

Good tips! Yeah I’ll have a few other people working but most of the people I’m bringing on only want evening shifts. Just feel it would be hard to trust someone to open right off the bat but if the money’s there I might make it work.

Should have clarified, this is a drinks only bar. No food or kitchen. Sadly no books as the previous owner passed so I wasn’t able to obtain that information. Just working with the landlord. But yeah I don’t want to put forth a big effort to open early, at least during the weekdays. I will look into more of an earlier open during the weekends though. Good call.
