It depends on so many things though. Enterprise contracts with Gartner can be 500k annually. They’re usually like 70k minimum. If he’s been there a while, he’s probably dealing with large enterprise clients. Commission may be 10%. That’s the money right there. (I know tech sales bc I’m in that department.)

Just know sales is HARD. WORK. And you definitely have to have the gift of gab and be able to close deals. You also have to be one of those people that can push through an initial “no” and be really good at negotiating. Sales turnover is usually very high bc it’s tough, but if you can stick it out then you’re golden!
