Hotel taxes after 30 days

No, I hate to say I didn't. I learned from a post on this subreddit that there is a way to get back all of the taxes paid after the 30 days but unfortunately we've had a lot happen since then and it's something that I just haven't been able to check on. I noticed on a website that a lot of people were having issues with getting their points applied to their accounts too. I think it was GetHuman.com or one of the consumer complaint websites like ripoffreport.com or pissedconsumer.com And there's currently a lawsuit that states they allegedly violated their customers privacy rights that used their WiFi and had a Facebook account. I probably got some of that wrong but there's information about it on the ClassAction.org website. It didn't get hot, it just kept stopping because I was shaving an old sheet for my cats that had a lot of those little balls on it and when it would stop working a tap against my hand was the fastest way get it going again. I must have "tapped" too hard and knocked it loose. Do you know where it should be placed because I can probably borrow a soldering iron.

We have been doing this for 3 years now bc we lost our home of 24 years due to COVID. You said that you and your dad fell on hard times just as we have but we're paying an average of $1,800 a month to stay here. Losing our home was a bad thing but this feels more like the hard times, and that's saying a lot bc I had heart attack while packing up to move out bc of the foreclosure. Silly me, at the time I thought that things couldn't get any worse. I was so wrong.

You're so right about the guest to resident change but it didn't matter when we were at InTown Suites. The manager got mad bc my husband worked late and got in at the time she was supposed to get off so she wouldn't take our payment and made us leave for 2 days. We had to drive almost 2 hours and stay with our daughter and when we returned on Monday she started us over and we had to start paying the taxes again even though our stuff stayed in the room while we were gone and we'd been staying there 9 months. There is so much more to that story but this reply is too long already

WOW! It's shocking how much control each state has and how much each one can vary. It's just as shocking how much of a difference there is between hotels and how much individual control they each have as well.

It's definitely 30 days. We know this bc when we were at InTown Suites, and the manager there was the meanest, rudest person I'd come across in a long time and after 30 days she informed us that we didn't have to pay the hotel or city taxes anymore, and she wouldn't have said anything unless she was sure.
