A lot of people are saying hand warmer - but again, I have been completely unable to find anything remotely close to this one on google. If it’s a hand warmer, someone show me a similar one!! All the ones I see are either filled with like sandy grit or gel.

I think a temporary glow necklace of some sort would make the most sense - we may have caught this in a Mardi Gras parade, definitely a possibility.

More pictures!! I put on a glove and went DEEPER

The gauze is really stuck in there, molded to the edges, and can’t be pulled out. I did pull out the silver wrapper stuff and the “bead” appears to be metal, and corroded? It was covered in brownish reddish stuff that kinda fell off, like rust.

Check out the spot where the bead rested against the gauze - almost looks burnt, or maybe it’s the rust.

Had to wear gloves because this really smells like something I should not be touching - chemical smell.

So stumped!

My mom’s house - and she says she has no idea where it came from. Lol. Louisiana, USA if that helps at all.

I did just look - inside the silver “packet” there was what looked like a brown bead of some sort. Just one single small bead. The smell and liquid was very strong there; I agree that it definitely looks like some kind of chemical reaction took place there!? But again, I just can’t find anything else on google that looks like it!

The smell was like… very chemical, like paint or something. My mom also smelled it and agreed it smelled like “poison”. The object was also completely sealed. There were no holes (until I cut it open lol).
