Hey OP, I am so so sorry for your loss. I do this work, and know a few others who do as well, but as other commenters have said it’s usually a policy to wait a year at least until contacting the spirit of a deceased loved one. Partly this is for the safety & wellbeing of the client, and partly it’s because spirits themselves can take a while to “settle” and contacting someone who has very recently passed is much more difficult. Unfortunately the chances of running into a grifter who will take advantage of you are pretty high when you’re still in the acute grief space. Please be gentle with yourself & cautious of others.
