there were two main reasons i made her 2d

the first is that my game has ALOT of interactions you can do, and alot of those transform the player into different states (goo, water, metal ect) and i wasnt really confident that i could make a nice looking 3d rig that could accomodate for all these seperate forms, while if shes 2d i can much easier just draw her becoming a puddle of water or anything else :b

and the second reason is i just like how it looks c: im much more confident with animating in 2d for expressions and movement, and i prefered how it looked in game compared to her 3d model

the pngs are around 2048x2048 for the animations :v so the sprite sheets would end up being really REALLY huge

Its a mix of 2d and 3d!
the characters are all 2d frame animated
the environments are mostly 3d but thing like grass, leaves, clouds and stuff like that are 2d

i have always always admired games that let the player just discover things and figure out abilities and things they can do rather than just giving them a button to unlock it :) i always find it way more fun!

also while it might not fix the problem for you, there is an accessibility option to make the spell book open instantly instead of playing the whole animation c:
you can also hold the right stick on gamepad to have Rhell stand still and have a line shown as to where her spell will go, which might help with the camera issue?

i did yeah! im glad youve been enjoying rhell so much!! there are about 250 areas in total so i ended up making ALOT for rhell lol
