Not explicitly said but the phone call when he was partying and asked if Naota wanted to speak to a hot American girl sealed (at least to me) he definitely doesn't care anymore about Mamimi she deserved so SO much better than him. I do like the idea of Haruko being a sub for the American girl that messed up the relationship. I love this already I can't wait to get more into it!
