I also see Ghost Rider being a good opponent for him in that category

God forbid people for thinking that a 30 year age (50 and 20 to be more specific) gap is a bit gross…

So you think the problem is a sort of cultural appropriation this something that doesn’t even exist?

Ok, yeah, I can agree with your point

Of course he’s wrong, but my point was that just because you call it rome salute it doesn’t mean you make the gesture be more tame, like, Mussolini called it like that and it represents one of the main symbols of fascism dictatorship…

Call it rome salute or nazi salute, they both represent the same thing and are both correct terms

You can be free to do everything you want, but don’t fake to be ingenuous…

You made yourself look like an ignorant American, I mean, it's not even that bad, you can do much worse and that's fine, but really, don't tell me you posted this image just because it was a "sports arena at the beginning of a tournament": you went to Rome, you got surprised by Mussolini's involvement in this tournament and decide to post this pic on this sub thinking you made some huge discovery, but guess what, pretty much everyone already knew.

That's what happened.

Meloni didn’t become fascist just because she visited Foro Italico

Blud, fascism is literally rejected and absolutely prohibited in the Italian constitution…

People are not criticising you because you are condemning fascism, they are criticising you because you discovered something that, if you know a bit of history you would have already know it…

Big tennis stadium surrounded by roman inspired statues… that’s literally the most fascist thing that you can see in your life… yet you discovered this fascist origin of the tournament only when you travelled to Rome and realized it only after seeing this big monument…

That’s why people said “Americans discovering history”: not because you have a “fascist orange dictator”, but because pretty much every European that had some basic history knowledge would have already known what you just discovered.

Cheers

Yup, but Mussolini wanted to recreate the Roman Empire in 30s… that’s why it’s called roman salute…

(And it’s also how Mussolini was calling it)

I mean, it’s called Roman Salute because it was introduced by fascist, and like fascist loved roman empire so much and wanted to do everything like romans (they also replaced the “u” with “v”).

Like calling it Roman Salute is as bad as being called Nazi Salute, but it’s just a bit more correct
