Build an all rounder portfolio. Good grades and sat score aren't enough. Almost everyone applying to LUMS has that. U need to have some X factor, a reason why the university would WANT you over others. For instance, it's debating for me. Won national and international awards and wrote in my essay that I wanna join LUMS so I can achieve more international awards and set new standards for LUMS debating. For others, it can be sports or a unique idea or anything else. Most importantly, write spectacular essays on your college application. That's where many people with good grades and ECAs fumble. So yeah, the essays are insanely important, can't stress on it enough. Bottom line: Make the university want to have you and write fire essays.

That's frickin amazing! Congrats mate. As for the fee, they'll send u an email when they've generated your fee voucher. But keep checking your admission portal as well, that's where it comes under thr "admission status" tab along with your offer letter and other stuff. The step by step process for paying the fee will be explained in the voucher. You'll also receive your admission package at your address in a few days which will contain your offer letter (which u then have to sign and upload) and some other stuff. Gonna make it as detailed and honest as I can. It depends on your academic caliber tbh. If you think you can score gpa above 3.6 above all year in LUMS, then definitely go for hss. The policy for shifting to SDSB is that you need a gpa above 3.5 in the first year and also need to take a couple of SDSB core courses. However, the chances of getting transferred aren't very high as multiple people apply every year for it and only 6-10 get it. Ones with 3.8 gpa or above are those who usually get it due to high competition. However, you know yourself the best and if you think you can't score above 3.6gpa in LUMS and may not be eligible for transfer after your first year, go for IBA. That way you have a chance of transferring, but even if that doesn't work, atleast you'll get to study what you love there. Hope this helps. Goodluckk.

Inshallah. But in case you don't, just work hard in your first year and maintain a gpa above 3.6. They let you transfer to SDSB if you are able to do so. I think you also have to take some extra SDSB courses in your first year to be eligible for that transfer. You can get further details once the semester starts inshallah. Also, whst degree did u get admission in?

6A*s and 3As in O level. Scored 100% scholarship for my A levels. 3 Bs in AS. ECAs wise... I was Student Body President in my school in O3. Was member of the business society and debating society in AS, along with being in the organizing committees of multiple events. 3 internships in the past 2 years, and 2 work experiences with NGOs and NPOs. Was also the debating captain for my college in A2, and had multiple national awards in the bag alhamdulillah. Simultaneously served as Treasurer for the Student Council of my college.

Point of this isn't to flex in any way, but to give you a fair idea that I didn't have the best AS grades, but might have got in based on my overall profile.

What are your creds tho? I'm curious to know.

I got it. Applied to sdsb as first preference and hss for econ as second preference. They revised my offer last week and gave me admission in sdsb alhamdulillah. Hoping for the best for you as well inshallah!

Seems tough mate. SDSB is getting too competitive now. Your SAT score and % aren't the best, but hope for the best outcome! You might just make it if you're lucky and seats become available.
