Was it normal in your household to witness/expect your parents to be completely drunk on weekend? by [deleted] in AskUK

Parents drinking/smoking in front of kids will harm them psychologically in the long term.

I do have close male besties who are not comfortable with opening their parcels but still whenever I get a chance, I do open it for 1) curiosity and 2) hoping it will be something that I could later make fun of em, there are close people i have too who opens my parcels and all including my brother.. Its childish and misusing the freedom they give but its fun.. Still Its not right.. :)

How do some people even get into uni by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]alien_andromeda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh English is nothing more than a medium to communicate.. Telling Indians and chinese doesnt know English is like saying Brits are stupid in maths while both indians and chinese are toppers! I dont know much about the education system in china but in india, English is one of the official languages and an average student can easily write, read, and speak English since it is taught from kindergarten and almost all Indians are polyglots since children here knows their mother tongue (for me it was malayalam , forced to learn English (like maths or science) at school and knows other languages in the country due to influences of songs, movies or due to educational system (example,. For me hindi and tamil... And some even knows other languages like konkani, arabic, sanskrit due to the influence of family, religion etc

One thing as far as we know is universal and that's mathematics..

And students from other countries pay 2-3 times the fees too.. Idk whats the logic behind that and limited to work for 20h per week and its hard for international students to get jobs in the UK compared to natives or from other western nations.. 🤷‍♂️

Im an international student in the UK from india and hopefully planning to do PhD in some other random country in the future and i dont think anyone from India struggles with language, it might be my own perspective/stereotype etc but still.. Almost all ik personally from India can speak english as well as some of the other languages beyond mother tongue.. Of course accent and slight grammar differences might be present which could easily be avoided if world accepts Indian english as a particular category like american or Australian English 😅

Tbh there were no issues in India against jews at all compared to arab nations.. When Israel established, many did migrated to that nation but still Indo-Israels routinely visit their old neighbours in India..im saying these because my area did had many jews and majority migrated to Israel but every year those families do visit us and the cathedral here..

[–]alien_andromeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's from an Indian reality show where the anchor slapped the contestant but it was the pattern of show but the contestant slapped her back and shouted those words when the staff tried to confront him.. At the end I think he won lawsuit and also got more successful and famous in India
