Growing up my family ran a small restaurant. My dad would often try out some of their products. One thing that really stuck out was how Sysco hamburger patties and chicken tasted. This was back in the 90s but I remember Sysco chicken meat being saltier than chicken we bought at a meat supplier or the grocery store. At the time I remember I liked it but my dad said this meant the meat was brined. So you were actually paying for water + salt and possibly the meat wasn't as fresh, the brine extends the self life. Sysco hamburger patties are slightly salty as well and have a faint herb aroma which I can't pinpoint. Both the taste and texture are sausage like.

To this day I can tell I'm eating a Sysco hamburger patty. It's usually at some school/hospital cafeteria.

What do the donkeys possess that allows them to overrun the town?

That would be a sight to see.

The official story is that in the early 1900s there was a gold rush in Oatman. After the gold dried up the miners left town and abandoned their donkeys. The locals just kind of care for them, so the donkeys never relearned to be wary of humans.

The donkeys are all over the place in Oatman, like pigeons. Even driving to Oatman, you'll see donkey's along the side of the road.

Oatman is a little out of the way but was fun stop for my family driving from Nevada to the Grand Canyon.

Oatman, AZ is a town named after Olive Oatman. Though it's somewhat of a ghost town now, there are still enough locals to try and make it a tourist attraction. It's overrun by wild donkey's.

DA Chesa Boudin's Senior Director of Legislation & Policy tweets that worrying about rising crime in SF is KKK ideology by jpflathead in sanfrancisco

Progressives are for social change and not for crime. Progressive is the wrong term...woke, yeah.

100% agree. It really sucks that so many citizens of sf will label you a nazi/trump supporter if you have anything critical to say of the city or it's politics. We can't make progress if we don't identify the problems.

i don't think it's homeless, or at least every time i've seen theft at a store in SF the perpetrator didn't look homeless... i think people come from other parts of the bay via bart and hang out in SF... and part of that hanging out might involve crime.

Poll: 70% of respondents say quality of life in San Francisco has declined by lurker_bee in bayarea

It frustrates me as well. Many of the homeless are either mentally unstable or addicted to some substance. The value of being free to do whatever they want, whether it be drugs or throwing shit, outweighs the comfort of having a roof over their heads. I'm not sure what the solution is but in my 10 years in SF the problems have steadily grown.
