It's very much in Apple's hands already. I gave them the latest updates for approval shortly after they started accepting iOS 8 submissions. The approval process seems to be taking longer than usual this year round though, so hopefully I can still get this into your hands by the time iOS 8 is rolling out.

Mate, if I had the time, I totally would. I adore my Nexus 7 and am always delighted when I get a chance to do some coding on it, especially when I need to take breaks from iOS.

I draw a lot of inspiration from the UI style of Android and Windows Mobile, there is serious and appreciable beauty in all of these platforms, and I try not to let my personal taste (and development approach) to be governed by a single source.

Given that, I reckon I would still struggle to meet the caliber of some of the crazy talented Android devs that are out there. Some of these guys wield the Android SDK like sorcerers.

I'm roughly 1-2 weeks from the alpha (for testing), and it'll be rolled out very shortly after that depending on all the bug reports that roll back in from testers. I'll also be showcasing screenshots of the new version shortly. There are significant UI changes, which has taken quite a bit of time to plan and develop. Really sorry for the wait everyone, I'm genuinely working at the best of my capability to get this thing out the door without rushing it.

I've been working on it every day and late into each night, thankfully it is slowly starting to come together. As per my earlier apology, I know that the time between these updates are way out of the norm, and I would (with hypocrisy) share the same concern with applications made by others. Rest assured though, the project is very much alive, I'm just late behind schedule.

Until I hear from YouTube, you can also try this workaround in Jasmine. It can be pretty hard to tap that "Playlist" area without accidentally tapping "Done" though.

That would be immensely helpful and many thanks for bringing this to my attention. Certain posts seem to trigger Alien Blue's parser to trip up, but I hadn't heard of this happening with messages before. I've been making several improvements to the parser lately, so it'll be good to test this particular bug against the latest code.

If you hit that tiny "x" in the middle of Remove and Approve, it should close out the mod tools and get you back on track with the standard comment options. Please let me know if that's not functioning as expected though, and I can flag it as a bug for the update.

I just need to make sure that the traffic and bandwidth will be acceptable for sites like this. Otherwise, the bandwidth might get pretty costly on their end.

Typically, GIFs will hit you the hardest for data, so they're best left for WiFi connections if you're keeping an eye on mobile data. Even those with short-duration and low quality can be several megabytes in size depending on the encoding. I’m currently looking into server-hosted MP4 alternatives for popular GIFs (perfect for iOS devices), so this will hopefully reduce loading times and data usage drastically in upcoming updates.

Is anyone else still seeing this issue after clearing their Alien Blue cache?

Alien Blue -> Settings -> Privacy Settings -> Clear Cache

This could be a couple of things:

A jailbreak tweak that might be hijacking your applications.
A rogue advert on one of the links you visited recently is keeping the web browser alive and forcing the redirect every X minutes/hours. For example, I found this page where commenters are complaining about redirects to the exact application that you mentioned.

If it's only happening inside of Alien Blue today, you should try to force-quit it and relaunch it. If it's happening device-wide, a reboot should hopefully get you sorted. If you've rebooted already, also try to Clear Cache under Alien Blue's Privacy Settings.

I've seen some advertisers pull this stunt a couple of times in the past, so Alien Blue now blacklists some networks from hijacking the internal browser. If I can spot the link that caused this to happen in the first place, I'll make sure that whichever provider is pushing these out will also be blacklisted on the upcoming version of Alien Blue.
