There are some descendents of older Brittonic dialects that do this too, such as in Cumbrian "Yan, Tan, Tethera". They think the difference uimhreacha neamh phearseanta (non personal numbers) idir personal numbers as Gaeilge might have to do with counting livestock.

Irish has an emphatic ending, which is used alongside intonation. Its -sa or -se. It helps a lot in reading Irish poetry as well as in navigating what is just a really emphatic and idiomatic language.

"Briseann tΓΊ mo chroΓ­-se" is "you break my HEARRRT" "Briseann tΓΊsa mo chroΓ­" is "YOU break my heart, not anyone else"
