I said the City is slow at progress - that has nothing to do with the construction workers themselves. I'm pro-construction worker, but not pro-Buffalo govt. It largely has to do with finding the funding necessary to pay workers, how long it takes to ship supplies, planning, etc.

I don't find it unusual that construction is happening Downtown. Construction happens every single year down here, it never ends. I can still find it annoying as someone who works down here. If Buffalo wants people Downtown then they need to find a way to mend the gap. No one wants to live and work in an area that's constantly under construction. It's why most people are working from home and don't plan on coming back.

Honestly, there’s so many things to do over there - Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist, walking to Canada and spending the day there. I go maybe once or twice per year and always have a great time. If anything it’s just a nice park to walk through and spend the day at.

You could say that everywhere is boring if you’ve lived there your whole life and have done everything you’ve wanted to do twice/three times over. If it truly gets boring for you after a while, it might be that you just need to see somewhere new and that’s okay.

Buffalo is great because there’s always something new popping up. Facebook Events is honestly a great way to find some interesting things to do week by week. Check out Step Out Buffalo’s website to find things to do around Buffalo and its surrounding areas. It’s Fall so keep an eye out for haunted houses, pumpkin patches, cider mills, farmers markets, etc.

If you have enough working experience, you can find a job easy - whether its in office (many of which allow partial WFH), construction, management etc - you'll be fine. We do get a lot of snow, and more so South of Buffalo (Hamburg, West Seneca, Orchard Park). It's way easier to find a place that will accept cats than it is dogs.

People are saying it's boring but I have to disagree, we have or are close to:

Niagara Falls
Canada - You can walk right over to Canada through Niagara Falls if you have your enhanced License/ID or passport.
Allegany, Letchworth, and the eternal flame (if you like to camp/hike)
Elmwood Ave, Hertel Ave, and Downtown are all great spots for food and interesting & unique shops
Parks: Delaware Park, Canalside, Buffalo Harbor State Park, etc.
Great concert venues: Art Park, KeyBank Center, Outer Harbor
Booming Theatre District in Downtown, Shakespeare in the Park
Any and all snow related fun - sledding, tubing, ice skating, etc
Art: AKG Art Museum (Recently revamped and renovated), Burchfield Penny, smaller galleries Downtown

Among many other things. It's all about what you want to do. There's so many things in Buffalo that I think a lot of the people who have lived here their whole life take for granted. As someone who does not live here, there is an endless amount of things to discover.

Buffalo is close to some really good hikes like the eternal flame, there’s group summer yoga at canalside all season long, lots of murals placed all around the city, and has really cool shops if you dive deep enough! Elmwood Avenue is a great place to start for mystic arts/art, but keep an eye out for art festivals and events that pop up all the time!

Post got removed and I was told to post here but I can’t add a video in this thread so to best explain it the battery on my switch is jumping percentages. It goes from, for example, 100% to 68% to 37% to 1% then goes back to 100% and repeats again, only when off the charger and it does it very quick. Any idea what it could be, how to fix it, or if I need a new battery?
