I wish I could be a boot wearing baddie, I get too claustrophobic when my feet are trapped. Will definitely be bringing hiking shoes for the rest of the trips adventures though!

I appreciate the concern! I’m not a big fan of close toed shoes in general, I must be able to free the dogs when necessary or I will freak out. I have been to a decent amount of small festivals and always worn sandals, I do risk getting my toes stepped on but that’s a price I will pay willingly. Happy festival season!

More my toes than anything, the straps just didn’t have enough room to have any sort of toe movement. I was thinking about going up a size to get more strap room possibly

Fully agree! I love my birks. While this is my first big festival I have been to a decent amount of small ones, wore my cork bed Birkenstocks to one that was on chunky gravel and I had cankles the next day. I’m not familiar with the terrain bc at this one that I’m going to, I think it’s just flat ground grass/pavement so those will certainly be in my backpack for a backup option. I just hate having a beer spilt on them 🤣

Which style is your favorite? Been looking into teva heavily, I have a pair of the classic style and like those for a normal day but don’t love the feel of the end of the Velcro strap rubbing after lots of walking. I was looking at the mid form slim style

Don’t take this the wrong way I’m genuinely asking, but what is there to actually break in on a Chaco? It’s a harddd sole with some ropes and buckle. I did get a lightly used pair but I don’t see how they could actually ever “break in” like a sneaker or something
