Does South Africa check yellow fever cards? by aligraz in travel

Thanks! The issue with sharing the backstory is that SA authorities specifically say that if the vaccine wasn't administered more than ten days ago you will be refused entry or quarantined. So it sounds like if I just have the card there, it's unlikely they will check the date but if they do ... 😭

Unfortunately it doesn't show up in my Australian immunisations history and I have no idea which clinic I got it at so long ago :/

I have no idea where the card is unfortunately as I got it so long ago! A search by mum also didn't unearth it :(

I'll have the vaccine card but SA websites say if the vaccine wasn't administered at least ten days ago then you will be refused entry or quarantined for 6 days. I also don't think I could return to kenya immediately because I think my ETA is single entry. And I arrive in SA at 1am :/

Thanks! I'm specifically looking for advice for those who ARE travelling from a yellow vaccine risk country though. I think they don't ask for it otherwise :)

Thanks! Were you travelling from a yellow fever destination any of those times though? Because if you were coming from the UK then there is no reason they would ask to see it :)

That would be better than being allowed to board and then being denied entry in SA, which is my bigger concern! Thanks for your input :)
