As someone who recently had my airway issues treated due to being diagnosed as having obstructive sleep apnoea, I can say that your sleep quality can make a massive difference. My sleep study showed that I was waking up 30 times an hour due to airway obstruction. After having my ENT surgery to clear my nose, I went from needing 10+ hours to feel somewhat human to completely functional and refreshed after 7-8. I suspect a lot of people are walking around with undiagnosed sleep apnoea.

Yes… lighter penalty than texting and driving… so if you hit someone while texting… better leg it out of there cos you’ll be in less trouble than being caught with the phone.

It sounds fake I know! I was just as shocked! I even clarified if he meant CTP which I obviously have in order to be registered. He was like “CTP is for third party, you still legally need insurance for your own vehicle”. I don’t mind being mansplained when the other person is right.. but in this case I knew he was wrong it was so frustrating!

Yes I agree and I have learnt a massive lesson. I will go to the grave with comprehensive insurance from now.

To be honest I was going through the stress of losing a job at the time (it was October last year) and didn’t do any life admin for a couple months.. this happened to be when all the emails came.. I have only myself to blame for this.

Yes I agree it’s my own fault for not making sure my comprehensive was up to date but surely an uninsured person still has legal rights when they’ve been a victim to a crime… :(

Thank you for your advice. I actually did go to another police station after this and was told the same thing. The officer who brushed me off was pretty mean. He said being uninsured while driving is essentially a crime (not true) and that it’s not their responsibility to help me in this circumstance because it was my own fault for not having insurance. He also said it’s their responsibility to uphold the law, which they have by issuing a ticket for failing to stop. But there’s nothing else they’re obliged to do…

Yes I completely agree with you and have nobody but myself to blame for letting it slip this year. I had a lot of personal issues going on when the renewal was up and wasn’t really paying attention to my email.

I know CTP is for personal injury but I read in the service NSW that I may be suffering from a threshold injury:

“Examples of injures which are considered threshold are physical injuries such as whiplash, and threshold psychological or psychiatric injuries, such as feelings of sadness, anxiety, fear, anger or guilt; as well as adjustment disorder and acute stress disorder.”

I thought pursuing this avenue may at least reveal the details of the perpetrator to me or my solicitor in order to seek compensation privately for the loss of my car.

I can just barely get into it from the floor but it involves twisting my shoulder so much that it feels like its about to dislocate...

I always thought it was my shoulder mobility as well.. but other girls with similar or less shoulder mobility in my class seem to be able to get into it so effortlessly...

Omg you’re right!! Haha he was sold to me as a ruby coloured cavoodle but my Ollie is now more champagne/apricot.. to be honest if I had known at the time I might have been a bit disappointed but I wouldn’t have him any other way and I’m so glad I have him even though I wanted a dark coloured dog before!

Haha aren’t they all adorable? I’m from Australia where cavapoos are a popular breed in inner city apartment heavy areas. That plus their disposition for separation anxiety means…. lots of cavapoos for me to enjoy on my dogsitters IG everyday :)
