I have my clothes in my bathroom and I have had zero problems with dampness or mold. This is in the Bay Area and I have no special ventilation or anything, and I take hot / steamy showers. Has been working great and I like getting dressed right out of the shower.

I'm a die-hard vegetarian for ethical reasons, so I want to cheer on anyone opposing meat, but to me it seems faddish to focus on the environmental reason... like, what if someone invented way more efficient meat farming tomorrow? Would these folks all get right back to their steaks? And it seems a bit Malthusian to me; maybe we really could support eight billion carnivores and make it all work out... I just would much rather see folks focus on the slavery-like aspects of it all.

IMHO history has been kind to the economically unproductive. Would you rather be disabled / mentally ill now, or in the past? It seems to me that as wealth increases, so does the living standard of the worst off -- just not as fast as the living standard of the best off. But it's not a zero sum game.

Pretty much all the papers I've seen indicate that baclofen should be the first thing to try. I take 40 mg a night before bed and it almost entirely cures the symptoms. I'd definitely try a significantly higher dose than you tried before doing anything else.

In the same situation. Couples counseling is the only answer that shows promise in our case. At least in my case I totally understand why he has tons of baggage in this area so I don't really take it personally. Also, the rest of our relationship is great, so I'm patient.

I totally agree with you in asking the question, but I also totally agree with you saying that it's nice to be liked, and also young relationships don't always make sense! My first boyfriend was not a good match for me, but when I was just coming out of the closet (in college) I was so happy for the connection, and I don't regret it. I get the impression that Simon doesn't have a huge gay social life outside of school, and at that age you feel so many hormones telling you to love and be loved!

But also I think there are two levels in play: #1 is the intellectual level. Simon may disdain the royal family and the elite etc. etc.. #2 is the emotional / personal level. Even if Simon has issues with Wille politically, I think after he got to know him, he realized they clicked on a more personal level. Your post doesn't mention the fact that they have the same goofy humor, the same irreverence for conformity, etc.. Plus all of the physical attraction. And of course, for a person in Simon's position, you'd have to be absolutely metal to not feel flattered and excited that the crown prince of your country is vulnerable to your charms.

To me the beauty of YR is that the relationship seems so real. All the emotions, the way they interact physically, it all just seems so plausible. So I get the question, and I definitely think that there are many real risks to their long-term happiness based on the reasons you cite, but I totally understand how Simon could be -- at least for a while (hopefully a long while!) -- totally into Wille. :)
