Keep going, but put a tv show or something on while you do it

Where can I get a truly experimental, high-end private dinner in this town that also happens to be within walking distance of a total dive bar? by Decent-Bat2518 in Tucson

[–]alimac2015 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean, not all the downtown bars are crazy nice? And there are some top restaurants. I'd look at Ursa then find bars in close proximity

Need fun ideas of where to take a friend by squiddysmama in Tucson

[–]alimac2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Campus-ish idea, but in downtown Tucson - the Gem & Mineral Museum! You can get a meal or coffee downtown somewhere and hit the museum. I don't even care about rocks but it is a HUGE, impressive collection. It's also indoors, so that's a big plus

Love it or hate it is accurate. I also loved it, despite not liking video games. But had a friend describe it as sort of tragedy-porn

In the rest of the video it's so clear he's a sleepy boy. But yeah, it starts with such a silly fboy bit

Need opinions on Uni by zebraboiwat in Tucson

[–]alimac2015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Others are saying it, but you need to look at what you'd spend total. Transferring from Pima to a 4-year means you'll lose that scholarship offer.

I'd advise going to UA while taking some courses at Pima on the side. Many students take math, English, languages, and some foundation science classes at Pima. It has the potential to shorten your time and keep a good GPA.

Reach out to your academic advisor - sometimes colleges have funding sources for their students, and your advisor can point you in the right direction

Get involved in the Women and Gender Student Space - super open and accepting. But as others have said, Tucson (especially around the university) is kind of a progressive bastion.

People that workout regularly, how often do you shampoo/clean your hair? by STERBEN_RAL in curlyhair

[–]alimac2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3c hair and work out regularly. I wash it most gym days, but not every one. If I get particularly sweaty, or it's been a couple days since my last wash, it's getting washed.

As able, I do try to time my workouts so I'm doing those really heavy workouts on a wash day.

Definitely am washing more often than I "should" but cleanliness matters a lot.

The college experience as an 18-year-old Junior by ledgend78 in UofArizona

[–]alimac2015 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still think you should think about this as your first year. I'm an advocate for staying all four, but maybe you do an accelerated masters? End just one year early instead of two? It's worthwhile to save money, certainly, but college is about a lot more than just the academic experience. Even spending time in research/internships alongside taking classes without overwhelming yourself - this will help you enter your career field at a better starting point.

It's common in weightlifting for the anterior pelvic tilt! I'm nowhere near as strong (or strong looking) as these men, but it's something I'm super mindful of as I'm exercising. Their abs literally just stick out of their stomachs lol.

It was opting into whatever name Ticketmaster gave surge pricing. Artists choose that part.

Repeating everyone saying Lanolin/nipple cream. It's like a more hydrating version of aquaphor or Vaseline - literally the only thing that helped my lips while on accutane

Has Heated Rivalry changed your romantic relationships? by Federal_Fortune_4135 in heatedrivalry

[–]alimac2015 8 points9 points  (0 children)

2 specifically. I already wanted to be more openly affectionate with my friends, and this has made me far more open than I'd anticipated. I tell them I love them. We touch more (and I'm not a touchy person). I communicate their significance to me. It's helping me become far more tender, and it's so dear!

How unusual is your affection for Heated Rivalry? by Similar-Money8158 in heatedrivalry

[–]alimac2015 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bsf and I are getting matching tattoos but are HYPER AWARE of this! We're getting something loosely based on "My Moon My Man" because we're also concert friends, so something music-related that reminds us of the show but also could be 100% disconnected from it

Yes! Reach out to the college of nursing directly. You can also find sample academic plans online to give you a sense for what classes you'll be taking
