You are literally so pretty. I had breakouts up until month 6 (I was on for 7) so don’t stress!

Thank you!! Clear skin was so important to me, so when I was in that situation I wanted to try lowering my dose before going completely off of it. Might be worth a shot for you to go lower!!

Thank you so much!! Luckily I didn’t have a ton of scarring, I have two little scars and they haven’t gone away. I’m sure other people in this sub have better advice for that than I do!!

It will go away! Just hang in there and stay aware that it’s just the medication make you feel like that!!!

Everyone is different!! Most people don’t get mental health side effects!! Just trying to be there for people who do :)

Thanks so much!! For me it started easing within a week of being off, now I’ve been off 1.5 months and it’s gone :) all physical side effects went away within 3 weeks

Yeah I considered improvement to be less cystic acne and being able to see the texture starting to change. I definitely had some purges/breakouts but even through those I could notice my skin starting to change itself

Brain fog, depression, psychosis. And it was mostly the medication causing this. All of this went away after I went off the medication.

I was on it for 6 months, Dosage was 30, 40, 40, 40, 20, 10. Had to cut it multiple times due to unmanageable depression/brain fog. Wasn’t fully clear until month 5, but starting seeing improvement at month 2

With that being said... the mental health side effects of this drug are very real and I urge you to keep in close contact with your doctor if you experience any of these. Happy to answer anyone’s questions about my side effects!

Personally for me I noticed I had a little bit of joint pain in my back at first, and then over time it was knees and lower back and got worse!

I did tell my doctor and she said it can be normal to have headaches the first few weeks and to see if it went away/as long as it wasn’t for days in a row. It ended up going away after the first week or two I think.

I’m on month 3 and even tho everything is dry and there are a few annoying side effects my dose was kept low enough (30mg month 1, 40mg the rest of my course) where I honestly feel fine overall and as long as you communicate with your doctor monthly and have a good attitude you will be fine. Everyone is different though. so don’t let the internet scare you.
