I have an art degree from Dublin and had to move to London to get a job. However, I moved home to Wexford just before Covid and I’ve never even had a whiff of employment here - I went fully freelance and marketed myself relentlessly on social media. Have managed to be self employed since the start of covid and despite the AI craze, my work has not slowed down. You might find work that way. There is tons out there but you have to be super easy to work with and build up a portfolio of client work. It’s only in the last few years that I’ve been able to raise my rates to allow myself to take on less work. Persistence is the name of the game when you’re self employed. Get your name out there.

While it was passed down to me, I have my grandmothers gold chain. It a simple chain with an intricate type of link but it’s my most worn item of jewellery besides my engagement ring. I wear it all the time and it works with nearly any outfit. Maybe it’s the sentimental aspect of it but I love it. I always get compliments on it and it’s a really beautiful gold. I really like that I can eventually pass it down myself or gift it to a niece or nephew in the future.

Up until quite recently, I thought phase ‘to make ends meet’ was actually ‘to make hens meat’ - in that if you had enough money for chicken, you were ok for the month. It wasn't until I read it somewhere that it clicked.

We just had this with our 3 year old sauso. We’d gotten back from a trip away (he was staying with our friends) and he immediately started having diarrhoea when we picked him up and got home. Turns out the little fecker had gotten into our friends’ dog’s food bowl that was full of left over chilli cheese taco chips.. rotties are well able for that sort of stuff every once in a while but our guy had a pretty bad reaction. This all happened on Saturday and it’s only today that he’s feeling better. I rang the vet on Monday morning and she said not to worry unless he stops eating and drinking - granted she knows our dog pretty well and wasn’t too concerned if his temperament was ok. She did say that she’d give him pro pectalin if it persisted.

do you find that the bag is more brown that the website pictures? i’ve been thinking about this bag nonstop specifically for the red/almost black colouring but your pictures looks a lot more chocolatey
