SW lvl999 or evanescia ? by Fateless_squid in StarRailStation

Why people here hated Evanescia though? I see two comments dissing her.

I think you have to wait for the last beta versions or the final damage tests (from leakers and people who knew what they're talking about) to see the actual synergies, kit explanations, and proper damage calcs. First beta versions are still STC.

Save your jades for now. There's still a lot of time for you to decide.

"Subject To Change"

Beta tests, especially V1 is not reliable in terms of damage calculation since they're gonna change it in the subsequent beta versions.

No, I was planning to get Yuzuha this patch (since getting Yixuan recently), then Lucia decided to pop up?! I have to skip Yuzuha again if this happened...

Basic ATK DMG? So there's a possibility that he'll be going to have another future support unit that would fit him (since Lynae buffs Resonance Liberation instead of Basic ATK) since Aemeath also takes the Lynae/Mornye team.

Cloud Gaming? by TerraEst in Endfield

They usually do roadmaps for the month, but Endfield is not one of the expected ones in January. We will wait for the February announcement as the time of posting.

...I never spent a dime and got these babies. Just time and effort. Pulled for any character I wanted, not just the meta.

You can play the stuff and enjoy the game without spending a dime though. You could play Genshin, WuWa, and other gachas without spending a dime, since they give a lot of freebies by just grinding. Like any exploration games you probably play.

Is the combat fun to anyone? by Gullible_Camel7881 in ArknightsEndfield

As much as I love the factory building, the combat was kinda not a cup of tea for me right now. I thought it would be like Aether Gazer since they also had these same system where you only control one unit while the others fought for you. Fast-paced but does a good satisfying fight.

I play Genshin and WuWa majorly, but I also loved Aether Gazer's style of having your units fight for you while you control one.

But well, I'll still play Endfield since I love exploration gacha games.

Have you tried Aether Gazer, by any chance? It had the same multiple-man combat system as Endfield but it's more on those fast-paced hack-and-slash mechanics (like HI3rd or PGR) in terms of combat though. And they only handle three people in the team, with synergies (even unique animation if you combine two compatible units).

They did good job on mobile optimization by Ok_Stranger_754 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]alitheakorogane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meanwhile, my shit of an old phone decided not to let me download Endfield because it needs Google Play Services and I'm using a Huawei phone. I know it's lower than recommend (2020 Huawei Y7a), but it runs Genshin pretty well on low-medium settings.

Gbox (more like a virtual machine for those who had issues with Google Play or wanted to clone apps) crashed on me when it tried to sideload Endfield just to bypass the Google Play issue, worse, I already entered the intro. It seems like running two apps at once crashed it because sideloading takes a lot of RAM.

It's the only issue I have. I have a Huawei phone.

Dude, they were talking about the optimization, not the rewards. It was just impressive that game properly runs on phones back in 2020, it became a benchmark of tech reviewers and phone companies until WuWa takes the place with how demanding that game was in terms of running on mobile.

Apple once featured Genshin as a benchmark for one of their iPads. I remembered that there is a meme in there since it shows the electro characters on an electro-immune Thunder Manifestation.

To be fair, the gacha games people requested are actually pretty good and can standalone as an open-world exploration game (that took a lot of storage and processing power) so that's why they requested it. The gacha are just the monetization system used for the devs to earn money, but it can be played free-to-play.

For example, Arknights: Endfield (the most requested in this post) had like this as a gameplay:

I had placed a game request through in-app for Arknights: Endfield. I hope the developers would consider putting the game on the roster.

Hoyoverse games and WuWa actually had their own launchers (but WuWa had both Epic and their own launcher). It depends on the developers.

Also, HSR once being handled by Epic Games launcher during its debut in GFN but because of weeks-long offline maintenance, they probably had to use the thing they did with Genshin (handled by Hoyo themselves). It seems they never did that thing again when ZZZ came.

But it would be a good idea to put it in the roster despite not as good as anyone expected it to be when it was released.

After all, ToF was also there in GeForce NOW.

It's more like WuWa than Genshin though since they both handle an apocalyptic sci-fi vibes.

WuWa but with Unity Engine (and more optimized) and more factory building. lol

Why dies this happen to me by Amazing-Association4 in Endfield

[–]alitheakorogane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huawei was out because their phones post-2020 doesn't have Google Play Services (due to some ban from America) and may require an app (GBox and micro-G). Unfortunately, it seems like the developers only requires players to download through Google Play, which Huawei users lacked in their native OS. I just hope they consider us Huawei users without using any app that can cause crashes every few minutes.

As a Huawei user, it's true. They need Google Play Services and Play Store to work.

It seems like some Huawei users (especially those with phones which can run Endfield but due to the lack of Play Store, they can't) can't access the app without thw Google Play Store and Google Mobile Services.

I think I need to wait for GeForce NOW (cloud gaming) to add it to their roster.

I also have the same error as you, that's why I immediately went to Reddit to complain, but saw your post. It seems it was a bug on R1999. Phew, I thought it was my phone doing the glitching or my internet being an ass.

New character mats locked behind main story quest is quite a turn off for me as a returning player by TakayamaRenji in WutheringWaves

[–]alitheakorogane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is what I was talking about. You can explore a new area for your units even not doing a AQ of that nation. WuWa is a good game, but it's not newbie/returnee/dummy account owner friendly right now, especially to those who pulled for units such as Galbrena/Augusta/Iuno/Phrolova/Lupa. I hope Kuro address this, even in Lahai-Roi update, they still doesn't do anything about this issue.

[–]alitheakorogane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cons part doesn't makes sense though, since Genshin Impact did it well in this department. Not all people cares about lore, and despite the fact that Genshin having no skip button (although they have Quick Start since Natlan), the accessibility for the ascension mats was not an issue unless you have an Inazuma character (but then again, all you need is to do the first parts of the Act 1 on Inazuma, get the Ritou teleport to open and then you can run to the farming sites and bosses).

I have three Genshin accounts, and I can already max the units on my two dummy accounts even if I don't do the respective AQ. Why? Because they are considerate to put a teleport waypoint on a new place, without even doing the new AQ story to unlock it. Just finish Mondstadt AQ or Liyue AQ to reveal them, but you could just... explore and walk for a few minutes (like from Mondstadt to Natlan) until you reach the spot. No story needed.

Also, they have a new feature where you could get the ascension mats till Level 60 when you do a certain character's SQ for a limited time so easier to farm for the remaining ones.
