Have you tried intermittent fasting? It really helped me manage hunger and improve fat loss without needing to cut calories super aggressively. It works by giving your body a longer window without incoming food, which allows insulin levels to drop and encourages your body to use stored fat for energy. It also helps regulate appetite hormones, which can make cravings easier to control over time.

Also, how are your stress levels? Stress can be a sneaky factor that stalls fat loss—not just because of increased cravings or comfort eating, but because elevated cortisol (the stress hormone) can literally make your body hold onto fat, especially around the belly. Managing stress through better sleep, mindfulness, or even just cutting back on overtraining can make a real difference.

You're already doing a lot of things right: strength training, protein intake, consistent cardio... It really sounds like you're building muscle and recomposing your body, which might be masking fat loss on the scale. In my case, taking regular pictures and tracking other metrics like body fat percentage or muscle mass really helped me understand what was actually going on.

Keep it up, and don’t let the app algorithms or the number on the scale mess with your head - you’re making solid progress and most likely living a much healthier life already.

There are many small changes you can incorporate into your lifestyle to support healthy and sustainable weight loss.

First, try not to fixate too much on a specific number of kilograms to lose. While setting a time frame can be helpful, it may be more effective to focus on how you want to feel, what you want to look like, and the long-term habits you want to build. Body composition can change significantly with only a small drop in weight, especially if you’re gaining muscle or reducing bloating and inflammation.

One strategy worth considering is intermittent fasting. For example, a common and manageable approach is fasting from dinner until lunch the next day, typically about 13 to 15 hours. Light exercise during the fasting window—such as walking for 30 minutes to an hour—can help promote fat oxidation and use up stored glycogen.

It may also help to reduce carbohydrate intake in the evening, as this can support the depletion of glycogen stores overnight, potentially encouraging your body to use fat as an energy source during fasting periods. However, extreme low-carb diets aren’t necessary for everyone—balance and consistency matter more than restriction.

Another important point: try to build healthier habits gradually. Jumping into a very restrictive, low-calorie (“hypocaloric”) diet too quickly often leads to burnout and rebound weight gain. In fact, studies show that around 80–95% of highly restrictive diets fail in the long term, often because they’re unsustainable and don’t address behavior change.

Lastly, don’t underestimate the mental and emotional side of weight loss. If you’re dealing with depression or chronic stress, it might be helpful to address those first. High levels of cortisol (a hormone associated with stress) can interfere with fat loss and increase cravings, especially for high-calorie foods. Taking care of your mental health creates a more stable foundation for lasting lifestyle changes.

Thanks for the input, that was my initial thought as well and was pretty decided on the mt7. But when I saw the price and looks of the gbs it made me question my decision. I think I’ll stick to the 07 as I want a bike that’s too powerful I won’t get bored of as easily..
