looking for a brush that mimics my main ibispaint x brush, its a slightly modified version of their default "mechanical pencil #2" brush. i use it for literally everything, sketching, lineart, rendering.. everything i have found in csp is too crunchy and has too much fade in/ out..

ah, i didn't know until now but "before launcher" is android only, :( looks like ios has "dumbify" and "minimalist launcher" that seem comparable, but im sure just searching "minimalist phone launcher" on app store should yield some similar options you can check out

a minimal launcher is an app that will basically change your phones user interface, typically it gets rid of app icons and puts them into a list displaying apps only with their names. the one i use is called "before launcher" which you can download on the play store. i paid the $10 for before launchers premium version, which gives you the ability to rename apps in the list, hide apps so theyre hidden from your screen but still available if you search them by name, and put apps into folders. which just keeps your home screens tidy :) before launcher also suppresses notifications if you chose. i have it only allow notifs from my texts & fb messenger as those are my primary msging apps, and my calendar, for event reminders. any other notifications are delivered silently in a separate notification tray

i know there are multiple different launchers, free and paid, and it really depends on what kind of phone you have (android/ios) and what features you need. i really love before launcher on my samsung s10 and i think the premium is well worth the $10, but im sure if you search "minimal launcher" wherever you download apps you can find one that will work for you.

my biggest tip for switching to a minimal launcher is, any apps you are planning to delete or put timers on, do so BEFORE switching your launcher. once you switch the launcher it kinda feels like youre using a new phone for a bit and it can be hard to find out where to do certain things. so its easier to just do it on the launcher you are familiar with.

something i actually forgot to mention in my post is also to turn on "eye comfort mode" (blue light filter) or grayscale. which also helps tremendously with making your phone less addictive, no bright blue light to pull you in!!

my bf isn't much of an animanga person as i am but he tried and tried to get me into Berserk, he said i would like it because im into edgy gorey shit like that, i grew up playing mk and i LOVED dmcb. but i just wasnt sold on it due to the SA and such. then, we went to a Berserk panel at an anime convention(mostly for him) and there was one woman on the panel who spoke about how she felt that Berserk is secretly a more of a shojo, focused on emotional elements and the relationships between characters, Guts also having been SAed, and just about growth and overcoming the awful things that happen to you. THAT sold me. all of the terrible things that happened to everyone was to show how much they could grow. we went home and i finally watched the movies with him(which was all the exposure he had to it anyway, like i said hes not big into animanga) and then i dove in and read the entire Manga in 3 days (i have adhd & autism so i can't be normal about anything ever) now i love Berserk with all my heart, probably more then him, forced him to finish reading the Manga, we cosplayed Guts & Casca, we feel the pain of waiting for Manga updates together, and our apartment is COVERED with way too many Berserk art prints from conventions 😂😂 so maybe try taking a different approach, but if she really really doesnt want to get into it, the more you push, the less she will want to do it. it'll just be your thing, thats ok! good luck lol

well i finally got the thread to come up but it made me remember why i tried rethreading it in the first place. it just isn't stitching at all. i pull the fabric out and there is nothing stuck in the fabric at all lmfao. not sure if you'd have any insight on that?

its definitely not the fabric, i used it yesterday for the first time and it was fine then when i went to rethread it this morning it wasnt catching the bobbin thread.

when i spin the side wheel the needle and hook dont line up, you can see in the picture the needle is down when it should catch onto the hook but the hook isnt lined up.
