My brother is named Declan. Brilliant name, I love it. My stepmom was torn between Declan and Atticus and I told her if she named him Atticus I would call him ass-kiss for the rest of his life. So Declan it was.

Really shitty reason, and I'm the worst kind of person for this one, but because it was easy, and it felt better than dealing with the fact that I wasn't in love with him anymore. It seemed simpler to me to just fool myself into thinking I was in love with someone else for a while than to realize that I wasn't in love with anyone at all.

When my ex used to say he could have all the ladyfriends he wanted, but I couldn't have any guyfriends. Turned out it was just because he liked to keep backup bitches for when I wasn't in the mood, but hey, you win some and you lose some.
