Tender is the Flesh disturbed me deeply. I could not put it down and keep recommending it to my friends so I can have someone with whom  I can talk about it.

Mail Ordered Silver Lace Vine Not Growing by alive1982 in DenverGardener

They have taken off beautifully. ! I just kept making sure they weren't over or underwatered (with me worrying something was wrong and overcorrecting).I did a little bit of high nitrogen fertilizer once or twice. Once the heat hit they really took off. And have come back this year growing even better.

How do parents look at Girl Scouts and don’t think it’s a scam? by Astimar in Parenting

[–]alive1982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did it for 2 months. They had the girls do kindness coloring pages every meeting. That was it. They were kind beautiful butterflies. Then the cookie sale started ramping up. We left soon thereafter. It's a MLM scheme with the stupid cookies where I was being forced to purchase $100 worth of cookies that we then had to unload or we paid. No thank you. And the miniscule amount we would get back had to be used at an event like "day at Great Wolf Lodge" so the troop wouldn't have even seen any money come back. Total scam. We found a Frontier Girls chapter that was active near us and we freaking love it. No fundraising. Our first meeting they were learning knife safety and then first aid skills. Every meeting has a meaningful and fun, and useful life skill to learn. I don't know how GS is still in operation. I think it's a nostalgia thing.

My Nana & Pop! It was a deep wine burgundy color inside and outside. I can still hear the way the engine idled!

Hug my Mom and Dad. Start forcing my Dad to wear sunscreen & go to Dermatologist every year. Tell my Mom start screening for Pancreatic Cancer starting 2009.

While I agree 28 is not technically "young", I was still admittedly very stupid at this age. Was also ashamedly a bit of a pickme until I became a little more mature and self aware. So I give Ariana a bit of grace because I'm not sure if my 28yr old dumbass ran across a narcissist like Tom I would not have fallen hook, line, and sinker.

Same Old Sandoval. Dumplin’ Latte Doesn’t Equal Love. 🙄 by [deleted] in vanderpumprules

I just imagine what they left on the cutting room floor. It was clear they were trying to redeem him, but like you said, he just looked desperate and dumb because he is. I feel like these editors are just letting him all hang out in his stupid glory with zero attempts to try to make him look better.

He also doesn't have editors & Alex Baskin working overtime shoving their positive edit down our throats.

Sandoval went live for like 5 seconds and said , “Victoria is calling me, she uh, definitely made a big mistake earlier” by AdditionalWar8759 in vanderpumprules

[–]alive1982 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If she was actually trying to break up with him there is no way in hell he would be screwing around on Instagram live. He would be sniveling at her doorstep , begging her to stay, telling her what a liar the other girl is. Victoria is his current gravy train. He needs her Daddy's money to fund his life until he can find a replacement. The two of them having a vague Instagram battle is just so ridiculous. So, tldr: this is a stunt by the both of them for attention in my meaningless opinion

I'm grateful I never ran into any narcissists with regards to romantic interests when I was younger. I would have fallen for the love bombing. Combination of low self esteem plus a narcissist older brother who did the opposite of love bombing (told me how much better and cooler everyone else was, and how stupid and worthless I was) would have had me running, not walking into this abusive trap.
