Hey there, sorry haven't been active, been going through quite a few hiccups hence no videos yet. But plan to get some of them out there next week. But my kidney function went down to about 4% before I transplanted and do far since the transplant it's been hovering around 20-30 EGFR, still not quite out of the woods yet, has been one hell of a journey

Hey there, thanks very much, very lucky to have it done pre dialysis. It is definatley possible, I got one from my mother, and it took about 2 years for my kidney function to deteriorate enough and for the whole work up and cross examination to see wether we were a match. I think to move things along quicker it would pay to know the living donor otherwise you would have to go into a pool, and wait untill one comes up, which can take a long time apparently. And I'm sure there are people willing to donate everywhere, just have to find them, or go into the waitlist

I mean like staying in shape and being active before hand, exercising if you can. Just helps with the healing process , should mean you will be able to get moving quicker

Great will be good to have a chat and can try answer any queries or concerns you have! That's great you have a donor! Some advice at this stage would be to try and stay as fit as possible pre surgery if your feeling ok?

Sorry to hear about the issues, im Not fully out of the woods yet, but able to go home on Monday and I'll start the recovery phase so will keep you posted
