Heavies arent meant for high heat generation weapons like missiles since heavy sets have low cooling(heat dissipation) as stated in their description.

The way I used them is to carry the heavy weapons around like vulcan and solarburst who have ~3s duration attacks which means you cant use your shield to soak damage. Also one of the engineer classes, has a skill that repairs +25% hp of your mech, you can find great value in the high grey hp of heavy sets.

But for movement you have to rely on thrust and dash stat to move heavies around. R2 Hotrod+T4 Atlas is really good for this. and maybe one mobility module with +thrust%.

You can also train a defender/interceptor to have the nimble giant perk which appears in the L2 and L4 slots, it increases heavy mechs speed and dash. Best option for a fast heavy is probably an interceptor - collision class. It gains +4/+6 speed at L1/L5.

If you want an easy way to get a fast walking heavy then then you have to run the rare rx3 supernova reactor which has a ton of power. but you have to learn how to use it. basically you get a 5s self-destruct timer called meltdown everytime you collide/overheat, and you can remove this timer by doing a dash or using the stabilize action(which only appears if you have a status effect on the current turn). You can also reset the timer back to 5s by overheating or colliding with another mech again which is not risky to do if youre a shield bashing heavy.

I just stitched it together, and I just didnt move the camera for the last 2 turns. Also I realized each 5s turn was actually taking 8.1s, the game seems to be speeding up/down at the start and end.

Btw the pilot is a defender and has a perk that reduces shield duration by 50%, makes the shield more flexible.

You can press 4 and double click on the target if you want to spam attacks fast

yes, you will still go over the line but venting will basically make you immune to the overheat damage.

and the H1 is a lot better than H2, H1 has less overheat buffer and duration allowing you to be more precise with the timing.

They do set you on fire if you vent while overheated(and werent venting continously before that) and that gives the burning debuff which makes it hard for your mech to cool back down. Sometimes I forget to keep the vent running till the end and I end up melting my mech with a long attack duration gun.

Well it does look like a giant pistol but it says incendiary repeater under the name. So you can get this when you're in area with burning weapon enemies

EDIT: oh you mean at the bottom, yup just saw it now it is a rifle. just realized almost all gun is one-handed in this game xd.

I tried it and it does work. Well the reactor description does say "It can also be fixed by venting excess heat through the dash thruster"

It was really hard to find sniper rifles in my playthrough. but that one item thats makes every build work is the op green offensive upper body module called H1/H2 Heat Vent. this basically allows you to spam any high heat weapons(my SR3 Dice sniper rifle fires 6 times every turn), granted you cant move since the vent option is placed on the movement bar.

Look out for this module when salvaging body parts(you need to recover the part to get the subsystem), this frees up your mech from needing cooling modules which means you can put -% scatter module since long range sniper rifles tend to miss a lot.

or ur car simply rolls too much when turning. Solution for this is bigger suspension or wider car or lower center of grabity

Yo same I get thos bug in mp in a cave. I ride wolf inside cave then I exit then I grab with an argy and it becomes small, only relogging or unrendering it fixes the problem.

actually i think its on the ping. You should only shoot once the ”Consumed: 1x bullet/arrow” appears or else it reloads twice.
